Nice hotel with an excellent beach front view of Land’s End rock formations. Hotel was extremely relaxing during the day with numerous pools, areas for sun bathing, and plenty of drinks. The hotel staff was accommodating and friendly. The pool parties were definitely a highlight of the stay, however if you’re not about the party scene or traveling with young kids, this isn’t for you. We did not get a chance to experience the water slides but they looked fun! Con: The food was absolutely TERRIBLE—the buffet and specialty restaurants served the worst hotel food ever!! The only edible meal was breakfast so fill up then! Also, the grilled food by the Mezcal bar and infinity pool was good during lunch time. The specialty restaurants had limited seating that was first come first serve so had you waiting for up to 45 min (even though plenty of seats visibly available) and then the food was horrendous. After a long day and night of drinking all you want is some good food or at least a snack, but what was offered you can even chew and swallow without gagging... Besides the food, I would definitely recommend this resort. Last thing, if taking a day trip to downtown Cabo Lucas, take the city bus (versus taxi) for only $1 USD. It’s takes you right down to the main area and only takes about 10 min.

Fun , good food and clean and will return !! I have no complaints at all...I was with friends this trip but I would have been disappointed when I realized there are no evening shows if I had brought my kids this trip ... Or else Loved it !!!

The hotel food could have been better. The grand buffet had many sushi items that were not cold. Also, the staff was very bland as they seemed uninterested in assisting the tables. Many times, we ended up getting our own glasses of water because no one would come over to our table. The food was often cold and seemed like it was microwavable food. The Mexican restaurant food was horrible. I did think the Italian restaurant was pretty good. The hotel entrance was not nice at all. It was very dirty and seemed like it was under construction. Not pleasant.

great vacation!

My wife and I celebrated outr 24th anniversary at the RIU Santa Fe, we could not be any happier for the wonderful time we experienced there, the staff was great, food was great, the pool parties were amazing, highlight of our stay there. The only negatives would be the beach, although beautiful looking beach, most times it wasn’t swimable, the waves were just too strong and powerful and last, the drinks could be better, hopefully premium drinks would be offer as well on their packages.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU WANT HORRIBLE SERVICE AND FOOD POISONING!!!!!! Initially the front desk was welcoming until we entered our room. The room had a terrible odor that was overwhelming. The tv looked like it was from the early 90's and did not work properly. After settling in the room we called the front desk for extra towels, however we did not recieved them until 5 hours after requesting them. The next day we woke up to the ceiling leaking water and big puddles of water on the floor which damaged clothing that was in luggage. I called the front desk four times and no one answered. I had to leave my room and go to the front desk and wait for the manager to arrive. My room was changed after discussing the situation. It takes them several hours to replace the room's mini bar after several request they would lie and say they're on there way but would never show up. The hotel states that it is 24 hr service but in reality restaurants close at 10pm and they have one bar that is 24 hrs in the main area of the hotel. The front desk is very rude and could care less about any of your concern. The hotel left a sour taste that i would never visit any of their other chain hotels. Please book somewhere else.

Water slides are open. It is by height and says 12 years and older. My tall 7 year old was tall enough, but must be able to swim w/o floats. He had a blast! Kid’s club and little kids slides open too. My 7 year old also enjoyed. Hotel catering to young adults and families. Some of the young adults do not appreciate kids, which has been expressed on other reviews. The resort was great for our family. It is not fancy or high end, but clean and safe. Take a 15 minute walk down the beach a take a $30 ride out to Arco and Lover’s beach and a $20 massage! Also, we had a blast going 4 wheeling on the beach. Must like high speed!

Not what it could have been!

If you want a resort that’s comfortable and relaxing this is not the place. It’s actually quite the opposite. It’s chaos. The resort does a terrible job of communicating about meals and activities. You are not given a schedule when you check in so it’s up to you to figure it out. We thought we could eat when we got hungry but that is not the case. They have several restaurants but they have hours and you have to get in line early to even get in. The buffets were chaos and people acted like it was their last meal. The buffets have hours so people would rush in and grab plates of food before they closed. The food situation was stressful and was mediocre. We had some really good food but mostly it was disappointing. If your focus is alcohol and nothing else then this is the place for you. The beds were horrible. The mattress’ are hard as a rock and the pillows are equally bad. We were miserable for 4 nights. We will never return based on the beds alone. We had two young adults with us that had a great time. They really enjoyed the pool parties but got frustrated because the pool party schedule was not posted and nobody knew when they were. They show bingo as a daily activity but we never found it. We asked the front desk and they said we would have to ask “entertainment” because that wasn’t their job. We found people in “entertainment” and they sent us on a goose chase. We never found it. If you want a good beach stay somewhere closer to the marina.
