"Los Cabos at its Finest "
I used the many travelocity reviews to help select our vacation spot and felt is was only fair to provide one in return. The hotel/resort was truly phenomenal and I really have no complaints. The facility itself was tremendous with views and ambiance that rival any sought-after tropical destination. Our room was on the fourth floor (really the 6th floor) and provided gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding areas. As with almost all oceanfront real estate in or near Cabo, you cannot swim because the current and undertow would most likely end you. We did walk about a half mile down the beach and could swim in front of the Hilton, but the current was still quite robust. As with most all "all inclusive" resorts, the food was just OK, but certainly not bad. We did not try the Italian restaurant or the French restaurant, but heard they were just OK. The other restaurants were serviceable. The room service and pool-side service were very good. The drinks were plentiful, served quickly, and served often. The strength of the cocktail was not an issue. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. And while my Spanish is minimal, their English was better, you could communicate easily. We tipped frequently and while that was appreciated I'm sure, they were still such hospitable people who wanted us to truly enjoy our visit. We went into Cabo one night and partied with a few of the activity leaders at the resort. Great fun. We will return to Cabo for sure.

"Good hotel for price and location"
The location of the hotel is great, I really enjoy being near Medano beach, the Marina and the main streets, the cost of Bahia hotel was allowed me to be in the middle of it all. The staff was very nice, they have free wi-fi in the hotel lobby and they allow free phone calls to the U.S. and Canada. They have a very friendly Concierge, they have a computer and printer that can be used 24 hrs if needed to print your boarding passes. I did not have a safe in my room, but there are safes that are secured in a room that can be used, that was an easy fix. I didn't have a hair-dryer, iron and ironing board in the room, but they did bring it to me upon request and allowed it to stay in my room during the time I stayed. The only thing that I did not like was that the bathroom doors are not solid they have cut outs with bamboo sticks in it, for me I did not like that part I found that to be a poor choice of decor and lack of privacy. I really enjoy going to Cabo, you can use American money everywhere, everyone speaks good English, a very friendly city, a lot to do, they have a Walmart that will require a taxi-cab and you can pay in American money. I enjoyed it very much.

"!I loved the Riu Palace and Cabo San Lucas"
Almost everything about this vacation was incredible! The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful! This was my first time to Cabo San Lucas and the Riu Palace. I decided to take my son there for his 21st birthday and it was a blast for all 8 days (I mean 7 days since Cabo Adventures ruined one of our days) and 7 nights. My only displeasure's were our excursions. We booked through Cabo Adventures in the lobby to go on the Whale shark swim and jet ski tour. The Whale shark tour was very expensive and took 11 hours start to finish. We did not see one whale and it was the general opinion that the tour group knew we were not going to see any sharks because of the weather. The crew spent half of their time sitting on the bow talking to each other while everybody on the boat were looking for the sharks! After that huge waste of time they took us to the buffet that was included in the price of the tour. They ran out of food, beer and tequila? Then on the ride back they had two quarts of beer in the van that we had to share by passing the bottles around. To top it off they asked us for tips! Our jet ski tour was canceled the next day because of rough water. And yet when we got back to the Riu we could see the jet skis leaving the Marine. I talked to the sales rep about my displeasure and he refunded my jet ski package but not my shark package. He said "they were going to email me a voucher for two for any excursion of my choice whenever I come back to San Lucas". No voucher yet!

Los Cabos All Inclusive Hotel Guide

As subtle waves roll into the white noise of a dull roar, and gossipy seagulls in the distance ride the wind ever closer, you rise from a slumber you don’t recall slipping into. Had you been dreaming? Were you asleep? You shield your eyes from the radiant sun that warms your bones and scan the horizon as you shake droplets of the ocean from your hair. An endless expanse of pristine sand surrounds you, punctuated by picturesque palm trees. Exotic rock formations emerge from the ocean like aquatic castles. Have you washed ashore in paradise, you wonder? Has the dream ended? Fortunately for you, old friend, it’s just beginning. What you see is real, and the day is yours to use as you please. Bienvenidos a Los Cabos, amigo.

You’ve earned this vacation, wise wanderer, so why not make the most of it? Lean back in your chaise lounge and let your worries melt away like the ice cubes in your margarita. Even after just a few minutes here, you’ll realize that you’re exactly where you should be. Life at the southern tip of Baja California is a worry-free zone that’s unparalleled in the Western Hemisphere. And by booking a room in a Cabo all-inclusive hotel like the Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa, you’ll experience a realm of sensations you never imagined possible.

Before embarking on the vacation of your dreams, intrepid traveler, we’re here to answer your most pressing questions:

How are the beaches in Los Cabos?

The numerous beaches in Los Cabos ensure that lovers of surf, sand, and the sun have their pick of places to unwind. The secluded Playa Solmar is a favorite among many visitors and is only accessible via the Grand Solmar Lands End Resort and Spa. Due to the strong currents, though, swimming isn’t an option here. If you’d like to take a dip, Lovers Beach is the place you’re looking for. Located just off the Sea of Cortez, this sandy retreat is a choice spot for swimming, snorkeling, and sunning. And no matter which of Los Cabos’ all-inclusive hotels you book a room in, the sand will be mere steps away.

Can you use American money in Cabo?

Although the Mexican Peso is the official currency in Cabo, most businesses will accept greenbacks. Bear in mind that exchange rates aren’t likely to work out in your favor. Credit cards are a smarter way to pay for most expenses; just be sure to first let your bank know you’re traveling abroad. Not all places accept debit cards, but ATM machines are where you’ll be able to withdraw cash without losing too much to the exchange rate.

Ready to start living the dream in Los Cabos? Travelocity helps you score incredible rates on all-inclusive hotels in Cabo, so you’ll have more money left over to create memories you’ll hold in your heart forever. Give our hotel search a try today, and you’ll be blown away by the deals you find. Now travel on, dear friend, and enjoy your time in the best part of Baja.
