Bathroom plumbing sucks. Both sink and shower drains SLOW. Standing in 2” of water whenever you shower. Sink takes a minute to drain completely if you wash your hands. Toilet super loud and makes high pitch noise at the end of the flush, great to hear in the middle of the night!

We had a great stay at this place. The rooms were spacious and had a funky decor. However, I was disappointed that there was no coffee maker in the room.

Family of three stayed at one night recently and we enjoyed it. The location is great, a few steps to the water front, a relatively quite and nice area in the south of downtown. Stuff is friendly and room is comfortable and clean.

Downtown Portland Hotel Guide

Ah, Portland. This little city with big dreams has come to dominate contemporary culture. Known variously as a nature lover's paradise, a shopper's paradise (zero sales tax!), and the food cart capital of America, there's something here for everyone. Hotels in Downtown Portland Oregon mean that you're never far away from restaurants, museums, art galleries, and even a late-night drink (or two).

Beervana and Beyond

Any visit to Portland should begin at the top of the city, in Pioneer Square. This is where you'll find the big-name stores, restaurants, and Downtown Portland hotels—the Square also serves as the hub of the MAX streetcar line for easy access to the whole of Portland. Join the locals and grab a coffee in one of the many cute cafes surrounding Pioneer Square after browsing the galleries, shops, and museums. Over the river on the East Bank, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry houses hundreds of interactive displays—young visitors (and the young at heart) can even step aboard a real submarine.

Wine lovers should head to the Willamette Valley. Book a tour and sample the local pinot noir made from grapes grown in volcanic soil. Love a good brew? Residents jokingly call Portland "Beervana" because of its large number of microbreweries. Quirky craft beer bus tours, available from Brewvana Tours, explore Portland's brew history—you'll make stops at the bars that treat beer almost like a religion. For a taste of the outdoors, head to Tom McCall Waterfront Park along the Willamette River. Cycle, skate, sail, or stroll along this park's paths and waterways. And don't worry about dragging your tired legs home. Hotels near Downtown Portland are just a short walk from this people-watching paradise.
