Booked a double-double bed room as I was traveling on business and brought my daughter along for a visit to PDX. Hotel oozes “Old Portland” charm and service is excellent. Room lacked a couch or desk. One chair and a small round table had to serve as my workspace. No folding luggage caddy, so suitcases on the beds or the benches at the foot of the bed, but always in the way. Two public WiFi networks, both bouncing “can’t verify security certificate” warnings. Tried logging onto Amazon with two-step verification and couldn’t get in. Then received several emails from Amazon asking if I was trying to change the phone number associated with my account… so an immediate hacking attempt right when I logged on. Wasn’t willing to hook up work computer to network for obvious reasons. Won’t be staying here again as it doesn’t suit my needs as a business traveler. Too bad, as it’s a nice place.

The room here was very nice and clean and we liked being able to sit in the beautiful library section of the lobby while doing some computer work during our stay. The parking garage was also conveniently located and there were lots of options for cute coffee shops nearby.

I stayed here because I had a concert at the Arlene Schnitzer Hall, it was overall a very good stay. My one comment is have your bar area open so that after concerts guests can "wind" down there evening by having a cocktail in your bar.

This was an amazing hotel with lovely staff. The Tavern attached to the hotel was fantastic. While we felt comfortable walking to the art museum nearby, our attempts to venture a few blocks away became sketchy really quickly. While there are great spots within walkable distances nearby, I would rate the walkability of this area pretty low, since I was traveling with younger children. But, the hotel itself is absolutely lovely and we’ll stay here every time we’re in Portland!
