We loved the room. Especially the shower. The location was perfect to the trains and points of interest. Roof top bar had great views. Food at the restaurant was tasty with unique options. Could you improvement on check in. Room not ready at the check in time. Would have like a microwave. Expected 2-ply toilet paper.

Never ever again. Not safe.
We had a very unfortunate and unnecessary stressful experience at Virgin Hotel Chicago. The elevator stopped and was stuck on floor 24 with my 16 year old som was alone in the elevator and panicked. He used the call button numerous times, yet no one responded to his calls to signal help was on the way until I received the frantic call from him and I ran to the front desk to get the status of help. My son kept asking “Am I going to be ok?” The hotel didn’t care. The front desk continued to tell me “Maintenance is handling”. GM wouldn’t come to front desk. No one from the hotel would reach out via intercom to let my son know that this situation was not unusual and they were working quickly to resolve. We felt unsafe at this hotel. We were not heard. We will never stay at a Virgin hotel again.

The floor in our room was dirty, not that can be seen by the eye. When we removed our shoes and socks walking around the room, the bottom of our feet got very dirty, and was confirmed when taking a shower. The floor cleaning should include wet mopping and not just sweeping. Also, regarding the roof top bar/lounge experience, I didn't like how the hotel allowed non-paying room customers up to the roof. It was too crowded with many loud party type groups. I was not expecting this, and felt there were too many people on the roof top.

Excellent Hospitality
Britney at the front desk was amazing! She didn’t bat an eye when we showed up early, even though the hotel had been fully booked the week before. She was engaging and friendly. Gems like her are the epitome of what it means to be in Hospitality. Room was quirky and fun. Only downside was the bed: no bounce at all, very soft. But if you like that, it’s perfect.
