Small but perfect

Pros: Price, cleanliness, selection of sacks and drinks.
Cons: Price for Valet
Location: TD Garden, great spot for games.
The building is beautiful, staff was helpful, room was clean. All in all it was a great experience and well worth the money. It was a small room but it fit us perfect and was a great price. We were even upgraded to a king size and had a complimentary birthday cake slice fr my husband. We loved it and would definitely stay again. Also it was quiet even after the Bruins game ended which is a huge plus.

it was a good hotel, great location for the bruins game we went to see. everyone was nice and helpful. the only thing is they over charged me $100 on my card with out letting me know they were going to do that. Waiting for the final bill (which was supposed to be emailed to me and I haven't got yet) to see if they returned my money.

Girls' weekend in Boston at the Boxer

I met a friend who was in the Boston area for the Thanksgiving holiday and booked The Boxer for our overnight stay. The hotel was a wonderful mix of old-fashioned and contemporary. The staff was courteous and helpful and the accommodations were very comfortable. The bed and linens were dreamy and I loved the L'Occitane bath products. The hotel was well-situated for our exploring. If it hadn't been raining, I would have enjoyed using one of the hotel's bicycles.

The North End

Pros: The architecture of the building and the interior design of the rooms
Cons: Perfect
Location: Close to the North End and Faneuil Hall
The hotel staff could not do enough for you, the bartender Matty was a great guy and made a mean drink.

We never say "no"

The Boxer was not only lovely, boutique-y and chic, but they offered us big umbrellas on a rainy night so we could walk to dinner and when we came back cold and wet, went out of their way to make my daughter hot chocolate. I guess the cappucino machine was broken, but the hotel manager went in the kitchen herself and warmed milk on the stove to make it. Very sweet. Then, the day after we checked out when I called about the kind of shampoo they had in the shower (It was La Occitane de Provence, and I loved it), they actually went and got bottle to read to me the name from the label, so I could buy some for myself. Would stay at the Boxer any chance I get.

Pros: The room was quiet and the bed very comfortable.
Location: Close to everything... we were moving our daughter into an apt in the North End and it was easy to walk back and forth.

Good Location downtown Boston

Pros: Hotel and Bar Staff. Location in downtown Boston
Cons: Make sure the AC is fully functioning in the room. A bathtub in the room would be nice or a notice that there is not one since i normally assume
Location: Between Boston Museum of Science, New England Aquarium and Faneuil Hall. GREAT LOCATION.
SMALL ROOMS (or at least ours was small) Hotel staff was absolutely wonderful and very accomodating. Was able to add a crib to my room without any issues and the bar downstairs made any downtown extremely pleasant. The AC in the room didn't seem to keep the room that cool even when it was blasted. The room was fairly tiny. Much smaller than I expected for the money paid. This could be a biased view since I am not use to getting hotels in the middle of a downtown metropolus. The room was clean but hard to manage with a 2 year old. No room to seperate his sleeping area and no bathtub to give him a bath before bed. The beds were very comfortable and windows gave a great view of the city. Food at the restaurant was very good and well priced. Again the waitstaff for the restaurant was wonderful along with the bartender and bar manager. Hotel staff helped us out by heating up our babies milk in their microwave since there was not one in the room.

Nice Hotel, but overpriced Valet Parking!

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet, walking distance to quincy market & bars, outdated tv's
Cons: valet parking $42 per night
We booked a 5 Day trip to Boston and found online the Bulfinch to be the nicest looking and affordable hotel closest to tourist attractions. Once we arrived we were pretty dssapointed for the following... #1 Valet Parking is $42 per night (you don't really need a car in Boston if you are staying in the city, but we planned to visit the outskirts of Boston so we did). Its overpriced! #2 the room furniture was outdated - its obvious they updated most of the paint, lamps and other decor, but we had an old TV (not plasma as advertised on their site) old coat closet , TV stand and desk. If these items were updated the whole room would like nicer. #3 i travel often and this was the first time I slept in a bed with only 2 pillows and only sheets. A nice thick bed cover would be nice :/ Rooms are a bit small, but worked out well for only the two of us. Again, I was very disapointed with the valet pricing - especially one night when we came back and the valet was closed and the guy in the front desk was lazy to take our keys and park the car when we already had paid the full night. The Tapas lounge at the hotel is very nice and the staff is very welcoming. I do recommend having a drink and try the delicious Tiramisu. Location is great. It's a short walk to Quincy Market, Waterfront area and North Station. For some reason the hotel website has pictures of the room accents, but not the whole room. Better pictures would helpful. In overall, It was a nice stay except for the items mentioned.
