Great location. Checked in very late, so understandable if staff checking someone in is not very upbeat, but she was miserable, not welcoming at all and not very helpful. Very loud upstairs during the night and at other times, as though furniture was being moved around. Nice continental breakfast. Staff did not seem at all focused on making customers happy.

Excellent location, easy to find and lots to do nearby. Room was tiny, but I was traveling alone and didn't spend a lot of time in the room so not a big deal. No toiletries at all in the room, but maybe it was just an oversight. I didn't inquire about them and they may have been available. Pillows were excellent and the bed was comfortable, room was quiet. Coffee and fruit/pastries were convenient and offered each morning.

Worst hotel experience ever... Buyer beware

Pros: Not much.
Cons: Providing valet service would be a good start.
Location: Lots of hotels in the area that are MUCH better than The Charlesmark.
Everything about this hotel is tiny. Tiny rooms, tiny bar, tiny hallways, The room did not have a chair to sit on or a bureau to put clothes. The bathroom was about the size of a broom closet. There were two hooks to hang clothes. Other than that I had to operate out of my suitcase which I had to keep on the floor. DO NOT stay at this hotel if you are driving/renting a car. I arrived in my rental amid a heavy rainstorm. This hotel does not offer valet service. The front desk clerk was out for a smoke break when I got out of the car. I asked him if there is a valet. He told me "no". I asked where I would park. He told me two blocks down the street. I asked him if they had umbrellas for the guests to use. He told me "yes, they're five dollars". How accommodating. What he didn't tell me is the parking garage is actually FIVE blocks away. It's two blocks down Boylston Street and then another THREE blocks up Clarendon St. That's almost an entire neighborhood away! The desk clerk also told me there is a parking discount for hotel guests. There wasn't.

Little Tiny Beds

Pros: Nice Room, clean and recently updated
Cons: At least a Queen bed for double occupancy
Location: Perfect
2 grown people can't share a full size bed. Very little rest and isn't that really the point.

Great accomodations, staff and location.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, helpful staff, location
Cons: small rooms
I absolutely loved this hotel in my last stay in Boston. The rooms are very small, and there was no view outside of my window. BUT, the decor is modern and well-done, and the staff could not be nicer and more helpful. The bed was super-comfly and the pillows were great. Not to mention the fact that it was spotless! Great location near bars, restaurants and shops just a few minutes away. One negative is the continental breakfast, which doesn't consist of much, but there are many breakfast options close by. I would stay here again, and recommend it to a friend.
