Would have enjoyed this stay over except for the location of the room we were assigned. Upon arriving the clerk informed us we had a room upstairs. We asked for a downstairs room instead and she told us no problem as there were numerous rooms still available downstairs, including the handicap room. But she soon found out she could not change the room as the reservations were made through a 3rd party and would be stuck with climbing the stairs which I am almost unable to do because of my lung condition. A computer made my stay miserable because of the stairs and I resent it very much. If no other rooms had been available I would have accepted that, but the fact there were numerous available downstairs, I could not accept. In your favor, everything else was acceptable.

Hello, My name is John Davis and I am the Front Office Manager at the Quality Inn South and I am not sure I understand the issues. If the reservation is made through a 3rd party, i.e Travelocity, Hotels.com, Expedia etc. and they have placed restrictions on the reservation, those are restrictions that are agreed to before even checking into the hotel. Even more confusing to me is that we have an elevator that works properly so taking the stairs was not the only option. May I suggest that for future stays, if being on a certain floor is mandatory, contact the hotel before checking in to avoid any surprises.

We enjoyed our stay in South Fork. The roon was clean and comfortable. The property was quiiet. The staff friendly. Only complaint was the ice machine was broken, but the staff would get you some from a hidden stash.

Rooms were not cleaned very well each day. Coffee pot was not emptied and cleaned, and towels left on the floor were not exchanged. The staff was very nice and friendly and the rooms were up to date. The Inn is convenient to the east side of Wolf Creek Pass and the Wolf Creek Ski Area. The town does not have a lot to do, but he Old Firehouse Restaurant was a good stop to eat. Continental breakfast was good, but seating area is limited.
