A Good Hotel Near Transportion Hubs

We only stayed one night but it was a nice stay. The hotel is across from the train station and close to the ferry terminal. We had a suite, which provided extra room. There was a step-up to the toilet that was a concern. In the middle of the night no one wants to trip in the bathroom. But it worked out okay. Our room was in an alcove with just one other room nearby, so it was quiet all night. All in all, an upscale hotel in a handy location.

Great start of an adventure!!

The hotel and staff were friendly and helpful in answering questions about the area! The food was delicious and fresh!! The rooms were very clean and the hotel had a feel of old architecture mixed with new which left us with a very warm and inviting experience.

Do not stay here. Staff will not return emails, rooms are old dirty, stains on carpet, mold and other disgusting things in bathroom, and towels that should be white are yellow. A lot of gangs and homeless around.

Somehow, when I went to check-in, I felt that the staff were uncomfortable. When we were in the restaurant or walked around, we experienced the same. Also, I paid for parking for two days, and still got penalized by the parking agency, when appealed got rejected.

Comfortable stay

Room and bathroom were both quite spacious. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Close to bus and train station and short walk into main part of city. Only downside was no air conditioning but we were able to open the window and room was not hot.

Literally 5 minute walk from train station.

Friendly Service, clean and comfortable room. I wouldnt advise using the restaurant, though. Weatherspoons level food at a push, but hotel restaurant level prices.

This hotel was the sixth one during our three-week journey through Iceland, Ireland, and parts of Scotland. Although we only stayed for one night, I can confidently say that the modernization of this hotel, housed in what is clearly an older building, is exceptionally well done. Unlike other hotels we visited that had a vintage charm, none could match the quality and style of the Station Hotel in Aberdeen.

I have emailed the hotel separately but the heating was the main issue, no aircon and no fan with a drainage smell. On a positive note, the hotel's reception, bar and restaurant are all very nice and staff welcoming.

Firstly, hotels.com didn't include my nhs benefits discount and i paid £40 more than i thought i was paying. Stayed in room 102 which looked onto a dead pigeon. Shower had no temp control or cold water so it was scalding. Breakfast wasn't included in the price. No biscuits in room.

No good, but not all bad

I’m really hoping this is a one off, but the service during dinner was absolutely terrible. We waited at least 15 min for someone to acknowledge us, then once ordered took over an hour to receive our meal. No explanation, no apology. Once our meal came my fish was overcooked. After all was said and done they tried to charge us a courtesy tip. Not a good experience. On a positive note. Breakfast was fantastic. Lots of great choices. Hot breakfast was delicious. You also had choices of cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast.

A great location for our Tivoli Theatre show and very convenient for the bus station. We had high tea which was very tasty with good cakes and great value but £11.40 for a glass of wine was not so good. We have booked again for later in the year
