A blocked body lotion dispenser took two attempts to fix. Reception staff were unhelpful when we asked to be located in a standard room instead of the 'Accessible' room we were assigned to. This room was noisy - we were awoken each morning with thumping from the gym next door. We complained when noise from the gym prevented us from getting to sleep at 11.20pm and were then moved to a quieter room. The only eggs available for breakfast were scrambled or boiled.

My mom and I stayed here with some other family members for a trip to Edinburgh and are so glad we did. The location was great- only about a 20 minute walk to everything and felt very safe (lots of students). The room was clean when we arrived, comfortable bed, and good breakfast options. The bathroom was also spacious and functional (besides the open shower which was interesting and just made for a bit of wet floor, but we didn’t mind!) We did have to ask a couple of times for them to come make the sofa bed up as we had an additional guest staying with us for one night but they were quick to resolve this. The staff was also super kind to assist us in filling out water bottles each morning before setting out for the day. All in all, I would definitely stay here again and recommend if you are looking for a fairly central and pretty reasonably priced place to call home while in Edinburgh!

I really enjoyed this stay. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and breakfast had so many options and tasted great. Staff was very friendly, and there were convenience stores, bakeries, and great restaurants a short distance from the hotel. It's about 15 mins on foot to the main areas, but I liked the quietness of this location and saw no issue with the length of the walk. I would 100% be staying here again on my next trip to Edinburgh.

We have been coming to this hotel for a few years that itself speaks volumes! The hotel is a short walk into town which we love. The welcome you receive as soon as you walk in from all the helpful staff & always smiling. The hotel is immaculate everywhere…the breakfast is hot & plentiful & is always replenished to suit every diet/taste. The room is a good size with a powerful shower & a comfortable bed. We always have a lovely time here & already booked our next stay here
