The hotel had amazing views of Edinburg Castle and was in close proximity to many of Edinburg’s historic sites. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Would definitely stay there again
The hotel gave us a room at the front of the building; we had a fabulous view of Edinburgh Castle and the Grassmarket plaza. The room was a bit small and the beds were lumpy, but they were comfortable. Bathroom was also a bit small, and the sink was so low that we had to bend way over, but it was nice. Front desk staff was very helpful and efficient. Only complaint was that there were steps to get into the building, so you had to carry your luggage up to the front desk - no way around it.

The only challenge was the bathroom configuration. It was difficult for older persons to get in and out of the shower/bath as it was quite high and there was no handrail to steady oneself. The hotel has stairs going into reception and to the elevator. Hotel staff were excellent about helping with bags.
