The hotel facilities were not available such as pool, sauna spoilt trip. This was not communicated by hotels.com so did not get what I paid for I request you let me know why I was not told. Hotels answer was on there site it told you but used hotels.com. Would not consider booking again.

There were a few issues with our stay. Rooms were not ready on arrival. There was a technical issue on our last morning resulting in no heating or hot water. The only offer of any compensation is a reduced rate should we return . The actual hotel is very nice, with comfortable rooms. A special mention to Alastair who was always friendly and engaging whenever we saw him. Every hotel needs an Alastair!

The location was great, and the hotel itself was decent. The restaurant food was perfect really delicious. The bedding was very comfortable, but you could hear noises from outside the room. Overall, it was okay, but nothing outstanding!

Hotel is tired but staff are fabulous. We booked for the pool but got told when we arrived it was closed due to repair work. Had they told us that we would have cancelled as we wanted to swim. They did offer a taxi ride to a sister hotel over a mile away but that just did not seem sensible. It was about having the pool in the hotel. Then the heating broke, and we had an evacuation so it was a bit of an eventful stay. Staff saved it. They were excellent. Whole place needs a freshen up as tatty.
