"Nice hotel in a great location. I didn’t like the extra $25 resort fee and parking fee was expensive. Mold at the bottom of the shower area was a turn off. Stair well areas needed paint and were very dirty. It does get noisy from the main street. I would return and it was a pleasant stay."

"We recently stayed at the Sonesta Resort Hilton Head and overall had a pleasant experience. The resort's biggest strengths are its location and staff. Beach access is convenient, making it easy to enjoy the shoreline, and the employees were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The resort also offered activities and events for guests, which helped create a fun atmosphere and provided entertainment beyond the beach and pool. The property was clean and well-maintained, and we enjoyed our time there. However, our biggest concern was the value relative to the price. We originally wanted to stay three nights, but the total cost was nearly $1,800, so we shortened our trip to two nights. Once on-site, we checked into extending our stay, but adding one more night would have cost over $700. Instead, we booked a nearby hotel for our third night. It was less than half the cost and offered larger, more updated rooms, much more spacious bathrooms, and a more modern feel overall. While it was a slightly longer walk to the beach, it was still easily walkable. Sonesta delivers on location, service, and guest activities, and we genuinely enjoyed our stay. That said, for the rates being charged, we expected more updated accommodations and a stronger overall value. We would consider staying again, but only if the pricing were more competitive."
