"This was a great value in the heart of New York. Room was big by New York standards. Decor was updated but still kept the original art deco flavor. Bathroom was small but amenities like shampoo and lotion were high quality and water pressure was excellent! Staff was super welcoming, kind, and helpful. Would definitely stay again!"

"Was in Manhattan for a surgical procedure. When I booked the room it said 2 doubles or a king. There was no where for me to choose. I had a family member with me to help me through the surgery and recovery I definitely wanted 2 separate beds so I called the hotel and he said he put it in my reservation and I was all set for 2 beds. Of course we get there and it’s one king size bed. I went down to the front desk explain the situation and she told me the hotel was full, and there was nothing they could do about it. But I could check in with her on a daily basis, and if a double room becomes available, I can move for an extra $25 a day. I explained my situation regarding the surgery. Her tone in her attitude was very disregarding. I’ve never had an issue like that at any Holiday Inn express. So I will not be returning there when I come back to Manhattan for the second surgery."
