The staff was friendly and helpful. Rocky was so kind as to allow us to check out at 1pm. Housekeeping kept our room refreshed. Security helped us feel safe coming and going from the hotel.

I had a standard room, the queen bed was king size and very comfortable. Mini fridge was a nice extra. Room was small but fine for a single traveller. Couples may find they don't have enough storage space for their clothes. The 2 elevators are not enough to service this building and likely that you will have a short wait no matter the time. Staff friendly, located close to transport links with convenience store and pharmacy on the next block.

The hotel was correct. The service was very good, courteous and attentive. The elevators get really busy and it takes time to go up and down.

What I didn't like was the group of homeless people camped outside the entrance. The picture doesn't do it justice. They were yelling at each other when we arrived, and after we got past them and were checking in, it escalated to fighting, and the police had to break it up. It rained all the next day and the camp had to move somewhere else, and then it turned colder, so they (mostly) didn't return. Being a first time traveler to New york, I called down to the front desk to ask them to get me a cab, and when told of its arrival went down to find that they had gotten a driver for us for a much higher price than a cab would have been. They didn't tell me that you go out and hail a cab in New York, so I wasn't pleased when a local told me that. Breakfast? Nonexistent, as far as I could tell, and I wasn't too keen on exploring the place. We had a handicapped accessible room with a roll in shower, in which the fixtures leaked. This accessible room was on the 30th floor. Let me say that again, the 30th floor. The elevators had emergency fire doors that would close and block any route of escape except for the stairs, and someone please tell me how a wheelchair-bound person would navigate 30 floors worth of stairs? Oh hell no, ain't staying there again!

1.What I didn't like was the wait time for an elevator! Only two of them....... 2. Service was great....we asked for an extra blanket and more towels and we had them within minutes :-) 3. Although the room was small, it was roomy enough for two people and we appreciated the modern bathroom and a comfortable bed and the big screen TV!
