"Simply Outstanding!"
From the time we pulled up to the hotel entrance we were pampered with amazing service and enjoyed living the luxury life on this beachfront property! Although this resort may not be for every budget, we felt like this our hard-earned dollars were well spent. The local nightlife offers plenty of great dining options in short walking distance and the rooms had a large flat screen TV with extremely relaxing beds and comfortable environment you would expect at a luxury resort. TREAT YOURSELF!

"Pleasantly Surprised"
We stayed here prior to cruising on the Carnival Fascination and it was just what we needed. They provided shuttle to and from the airport and the port so that made travel less difficult. The lobby is small and was a little crowded at breakfast time/check out time but otherwise lobby was fine. The room was nice and clean. It was a nice size room. Bathroom was fine. The only room complaint and it happened to at least two of the three in our party and that is the hanging rod that is provided instead of a closet. It sticks out of the wall by one bed and two of us bumped our heads. The staff were pleasant and we even had a trainee. The trainer, Leah, was patient with the new staff and assisted him so we were check in quickly. We will stay here again.

Whether you're looking to surf every day, go golfing, or just soak up the local culture of the city, you can find Jacksonville hotels that fit your itinerary. You can stay at a beach, an upscale resort, or a convenient hotel downtown. In Jacksonville, FL, hotels can be found based both on your budget and on what you're looking to do in the area. Find the right deal with Travelocity today.

    Surfs Up

For example, if you want to lounge on a crystal beach, look for Jacksonville hotels near the three main public beaches: Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville Beach, and Ponte Vedra Beach. With approximately 22 miles of beaches and the beautiful St. John's River, there are plenty of places where you can catch the perfect wave. Take a selfie in front of the Friendship Fountain, or just take a photo of your toes while basking in the sun. Get active on the ocean by going on an eco-tour and exploring the region by kayak with Kayak Amelia. You can take a tour exploring Talbot Island State Park, while sandbar hopping, or during the sunset hours. If surfing is more your style, take lessons with Jax Surf & Paddle. With them, you can also go stand-up paddleboarding on calmer waters.

    It's Tee Time

In addition to offering economy, cheap hotels in Jacksonville, FL, on Travelocity, you can also find upscale hotels and resorts; many of which feature excellent golf courses. Golf fans will want to go to TPC Sawgrass, home of the Players Championship, and part of the PGA tour. It's one of the most world-famous and recognizable golf courses in the world, and you can play there too. Book far in advance, though, as it's a favorite activity of many visitors. Watch that par-3, 17th hole... it's a doozy. Many other excellent and beautiful golf courses pepper the landscape of Jax. Check out the Raven Golf Club at Sandestin or the Southwood Golf Club.

    Get Wild

If you're traveling with kids, plan on visit the local zoos and wildlife sanctuaries in the area. Jacksonville has a strong culture of conservation, which is great for teaching children and adults about wildlife, the environment, and ecological responsibility. Any big cat fan should stop by the Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary, which houses lions, cougars, leopards, tigers, bobcats, foxes, and coatimundis, many of which are endangered. Take a tour and learn about why we should protect these magnificent creatures. Also near Jacksonville is a conservation effort for our winged friends. Attend a class at B.E.A.K.S. (Bird Emergency Aid & Kare Sanctuary) to learn about how to take care of injured wild birds and wildlife. To learn about many different species of animals in one place, visit the large and comprehensive Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens.

    Stay Classy, J-Ville

There are plenty of things to do in this area beside beach-hopping. Wander to one of the many museums and galleries should it rain. You could journey to The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, for example, which not only houses a gorgeous garden but a fine art gallery. Join the Jacksonville Downtown ArtWalk, which takes place on the first Wednesday of every month, rain or shine. You'll be able to visit many galleries and local artisans, and get a real taste of the art culture of the area. Also on a rainy day, you could attend a film at Sun Ray Cinema, enjoy excellent dinner theater at Alhambra Theatre & Dining, or have a musical night out with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra.

    Catch Cool Events

As a cultural hot-spot, Jax hosts a number of fun and interesting events, including the Jacksonville Jazz Festival and the World of Nations Celebration in the spring. In October, there's the NAS Jax Air Show, which is an exciting display from local performers and military fliers, including the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. If you're planning on visiting in the area during the spring or fall, definitely check out these main events. At any point of the year, you can check out the events happening at the Florida Theatre when planning your trip. You can always visit the Riverside Arts Market, which happens every Saturday and has attracted nearly half a million visitors. It brings art, performances, music, food, and treasures in one place. Sports fans should definitely plan to visit during a Jacksonville Jaguars Game, as well.
