"A Hidden Treasure!!!"
Me and my partner spent 10 days there( September 10-26) on vacation and for my birthday. From the moment we checked in( before 4 because the plane was early),an upgrade because of the amount of time we were spending there, to the free shuttle, helping us plan the day.....just everything. Warm cookies and excellent service greeted us everyday. Tina Roberts, Guest Services/Concierge, was EXCELLENT-*******She could tell you anything, where to eat, visit, times, easiest routes and so on. Manager, Al Holzgruber, was also EXCELLENT*******He made our stay so worth while. The whole staff was faboo. The breakfasts were out of this world. Love this gem.

It was a good location and the professional service was grat. Very good breakfast. We were there in off season so the rates were a bargain. Would defiunitely return.

"Neat place, good location."
We stopped here on a two day motorcycle trip to Colorado from Texas. We read great reviews and decided to give it a try. We were not disspapointed. Nicely appointed room, and short walk to the Plaza. Breakfast in the morning was great and the staff was friendly.

The Bishop's Lodge Ranch Resort & Spa

"Beautiful, outdoorsy setting just minutes from the Plaza"
This historic property fit the needs of our family with children perfectly. The junior suite with pull-out bed comfortably accomodated 4 and the historic, adobe buildings are cool and comfortable, even in the scorching heat of July. It is not to the level of a "luxury" resort, largely due to variability in service and amenities. When we checked in, maintenance personnel (instead of a bellhop) were sent to help us with our bags and came in a vehicle so dirty, they refused to put our soft-sided bags in for fear of soiling them. After driving for 8+ hours to get there, this was exasperating. At other times, we had exceptional service, particularly in the restaurant, the stables, and at the poolside grill. The ice machine was broken and their dryer apparently broke, leading to a towel-shortage at the pool. The morning trailride was far superior to most I have done in the past, as the wrangler was knowledable and entertaining and the horses were well-trained and well-cared for. The scenery on the ride was as good as it gets in New Mexico (which is never as breath-taking as Colorado). The hiking trails are well-marked and easy enough even for children and those from sea-level altitudes. The kids club was staffed with enthusiastic teenagers, and our kids had a great time doing arts and crafts and swimming. Overall, we'll be back to Bishop's Lodge, but only for a reasonable rate!

"Great Place to Stay Near Santa Fe Historic District"
We visited in October 2012 for a full week. The Fort Marcy Suites are great for a family. Our room was spacious and convenient to the historic district of Santa Fe. The decor was nice and the corner fireplace was enjoyable. We really enjoyed our time there, but there were a few minor drawbacks. We were expecting a foldout bed in the living room, but it was a simple couch, which caused us some challenges arranging three clildren and two adults in two beds. The pool closed at 7:00, which was very inconvenient for post-sightseeing relaxation, and the kids were rabid to swim. The hot tub was small and the jets weren't working. We also had some spider issues with fall coming on, but that was fairly expected and I'm brave and was able to recue the children. It would have been good to have firewood available in the office for purchase. Overall, we loved the comfort, decor, and locale. We recommend the Fort Marcy Suites.

Villas de Santa Fe, a Diamond Resorts Intl Destination

"Worth it!"
While not glamorous or posh, the Villas de Santa Fe was the perfect place for our Santa Fe visit. The Plaza was well within walking distance (10 minutes) and the free shuttle would take you anywhere within 4 miles (7 am - 10 pm). I cannot say enough nice things about the staff, who went out of their way to make sure we knew where the best restaurants, attractions and night spots were. Grocery, drug store and Starbucks are less than a minutes away by car, and walkable for able bodied people. Pool and hot tub were somewhat small, but know there's a bigger hot tub in the courtyard of the second building (which is also much quieter than the pool / hot tub area behind the main building). We stayed a week and only had maid service once, but then again, we weren't paying full price.

"Nice room...great location...great price"
The room was very nice. The hotel was interesting and is in a great location. You won't find a nicer hotel at this price in downtown Santa Fe.  They also serve a great breakfast at the patio restaurant on the second floor...although it is not included.

"Fairly quiet"
The hotel staff was first class; all were kind, considerate and went out of their way to make sure the stay was perfect. The walls in our area seemed solid, as we didn't hear our neighbors unless they slammed their doors. There are no sheers in the windows, so beware if you're the type to prefer natural light with privacy.
