One of the worst experiences I've had during my many trips i take. I was there for a baby shower for the upcoming birth of my grandson. I checked in on October 3rd and checked out on October 5th. The first night, at about 3 am, it sounded like the room next door decided to rearrange the furniture. Then, the next night, just before midnight, the couple in the room next door woke me from my sleep by their fighting. I finally called to the front desk to ask them to step in (which to thir credit they did), but I was wide awake and couldn't get back to sleep. Then, at 6:15 am the fire alarms went off in each of the rooms with lights flashing. The noise finally stopped but then within 30 seconds everything started all over again. I gave up on sleep and got ready to go. Not an experience I want to go through again!! The staff was very nice but my room was on the 2nd floor and they have no elevators. After having had surgery, I asked for help getting my luggage to my room which they were very agreeable to getting my luggage to the room.

Basically a motel that charges you for parking. I guess the location supports that. Close to SF tourist attractions. Nothing special just a place to sleep. Bedroom was small, bathroom was newer with adequate space.

Check in was a breeze, and plenty of parking. The parking fee seems like a junk fee given the set up. No parking area near the entrance for secure motorcycle parking. Nice grounds. Flowers are a nice touch. The room is pretty basic.

El Sendero was a perfect place for us. It has a huge car park so we could leave our car ($10/night) and walk to the places we wanted to visit while also taking day trips out. It is very centrally located and close to the Plaza and to the Canyon Road galleries. The room was very large with bed room and sitting room with mini fridge and microwave. For breakfast we walked to local cafes and then just bought our own to eat in the room. The main down side is that it is a motel - that is, with entry along an exterior corridor. This configuration inevitably leads to a lack of natural lighting. As long as you don't want to spend a lot of time in the room it offers a super convenient location especially for those who need easy parking.
