Property and hotel is shabby. Room was clean. Seems like a lack of security for property, felt dangerous. Only the front doors seemed accessible. Makes for along walk if you're at he bck of the hotelNo refrigerator or microwave. Not that low of a price for the night

This place has the potential to be amazing. The room was VERY spacious and had plenty of seating areas. If renovation and proper housekeeping (along with staff attitudes) took place, this would be worth staying at again. The check in process was easy but the guy was very stern and lied to us about entry into the building. We arrived after 10, and was given a choice for a room without a TV or without a mirror, because all the good rooms were sold to those that arrived earlier. We drove to the back of the building where our room was located and could not get into any of the entry doors. We had to walk on the outside to the front of the building to get in. The linens were clean, but there were nail clippings on the floor, food in the fridge and toilet paper roll and trash behind the bathroom door. The sink faucet was floppy and dripped water all over the counter. Our socks were filthy from walking on the dirty carpet. The bed is hard as a rock. There is no bedbug protector on the mattress and the mattress itself was incredibly gross and aged. I do not plan to stay here again, as you get what you paid for. There was a reason that it was the only affordable hotel in town during the balloon fiesta.

As much as I want to give this property a chance, they just kept on giving me a reason not to. Room was dirty, top shelfs looked liked they have not been cleaned in a year, found a women's underwear underneath luggage stand. They did not clean my room, even though I asked front desk and I left the sign exactly the way they asked me. Also, an employee walked in on me when I was changing. Vehicles without license plates drive around property, never felt safe with my vehicle. This has to be the 1st negative review I have given in 10 years or more for any property.

Toilet ran for four days we were there. Informed desk attendant. He tried to fix it but couldn’t. Never heard another thing. Shower valve was very hard to use. Finally the room had a musty odor.

Avoid this hotel. My room had two pieces of furniture, A bed and a cabinet with two large holes it it where, I suspect used to be a refrigerator and a microwave oven. I could not understand the person at the front desk. He had a very heavy East Indian accent. There were two back doors that were kept locked so that guests could not get out and homeless people in the area could not get in. I worried a lot about what we would do if there was a fire in the building. There was an ice machine in the hallway that had an "out of order" sign on it that must have been years old. When I complained about the "no ice available" they put a new "out of order" sign on the machine. Our bathroom had a small separate room where the shower and toilet were located. The light didn't work in that small room and it was black-out dark in there. I made multiple calls for an hour and a half trying to get a bulb replacement. The response was that their maintenance person had already gone home. Hallway carpets were dirty. Handrails on the stairs (there were no elevators) had been replaced with light weight aluminum tubing that was screwed together. It was failing badly and the joints were a hazard for pinching your hands. Avoid this hotel

FYI. The room was not the same as pictured on the site. The hotel is an older hotel and I can see the improvements that are being made. However, the carpet going up the stairs need to be replaced. The rate did match for what the hotel room was. We didnt get enough face towels for two days and had to ask for additional towels but it seems like the hotel is a place where one night is a standard. The room had a fridge but as for a microwave the guest will need to go to the lobby. Overall there are no hard complaints and as mentioned it seem like the hotel is in a transition to becoming a better place.

Lousy stay lousy customer service and lousy area

The cleaning staff did a good job, but that’s is where it ends. The hotel is VERY rundown. There is no microwave or refrigerator in the room and the TV doesn't work. In addition, there are three doors to come in and out and one of them was completely broken, which means if you have a room on the far side of the hotel- you have a long hike to your room. This is an issue when dragging your luggage to your room. The front attendant wasn’t friendly. I asked about the TV in our room and he said there was nothing that could be done. He didn't apologize just dismissed me. Finally, we went hiking and came back at 11:20 am. We tried to get into our room and it was locked. My husband went back to the front desk and they said they locked our room because it was after the check out time. He claimed it was 11 am. The back of the door in the room said check out was 12 pm. So, if your going to change the check out time your need to tell your guests and update the back of the door to contain the correct info. The attendant that morning did let us check out, but the process was a pain. I would not stay there again. Do yourself a favor and stay else where.
