Warm, Comfortable 2BR/1 bath with full kitchen and dining. Sleeps up to 8 people. Stunning mountain views from exclusive guest deck view with two acres of grass lawn. This 1st floor apartment of an incredible Jim Barna Log Home log cabin has 2 bedrooms - one bedroom with a king/TV and a second bedroom with a queen, two twin beds and view window. The apartment is perfect for a family of up to 8 or small group to enjoy all that the mountains have to offer!

Home is equipped with free WiFi, large LED TV with HBO, Blue-Ray, streaming.

There are full kitchen and dining facilities. The beautiful cherry dining table seats up to 8 people with additional seating at two bar stools leading to the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need for complete family dinners. It has a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and microwave, coffee maker and additional Keurig machine. Cookware, stemware, silverware, towels, etc are all part of the package.

The view is absolutely stunning from the guest deck which gives guests their own outside mountain paradise complete with table, chairs, BBQ and fire pit which is privately yours. The mountain view is stunning with gorgeous sunsets every evening. In the mornings the Smokey Mountains reveal their glory. The clouds nestle into the mountains in the most beautiful way as you enjoy your morning coffee. The apartment is spacious and lovely with plenty of very cozy and comfortable sofa seating for everyone. The game table makes family game night a blast with many traditional family games (Scrabble, Monopoly, Chess, Battleship, Uno, Skip-Bo etc) as well as a selection of Nintendo Game Cube Games. The TV has hundreds of channels including all of the HBO, channels, streaming and a Blue-Ray player.

Crystalsnest is only 5 minutes to Charming downtown Dillsboro. 10 minutes to beautiful historic downtown Sylva. 12 minutes to Western Carolina University if you are visiting students or checking out the campus, 20 Minutes to Waynesville, 20 minutes to Harrah's Casino in Cherokee. 30 Minutes to Maggie Valley Skiing, 45 minutes to Asheville. And, of course in the heart of all mountain activities - hiking, rafting, tubing, ziplines etc.

Basement Beyond Compare

Beautiful, comfortable, relaxing, peaceful. The location is central to the small towns and natural’s beauty. We enjoyed spending the days out and about and returning to our home away from home with beautiful views and great outdoor space. It is spacious, beautifully decorated with comfortable sofas and beds. We also enjoyed time outside in the evenings listening to the night sounds of nature and sitting by the fire pit. The host was very responsive in meeting our requests, but respected our privacy. I would highly recommend this vacation rental. A definite 10+ out of 10.

Excellent view!

The view from the front of the rental was amazing, such beautiful tree-covered mountains. The rental is a basement apartment built into a hill, and it has nice windows along the front wall. The bedroom with a king didn’t have windows, and the bed was hard to get in and out of (tight fit, would have been easier if I’d been able to crawl in). The owners live upstairs and were very helpful and responsive. Most renters’ reviews didn’t mention the noise of a basement apartment, but it’s pretty typical. A sweet spot was the wonderful piano playing of one of the owners. He was very considerate and only played a couple of times during the week we rented, and asked if it was okay first.

Wonderful getaway

Despite a lot of rain, we spent three wonderful days at this location. We felt right at home in the cozy apartment. Michael and Javier are very friendly hosts. The view from the porch was amazing!

A Perfect Getaway spot!

The Title of Basement apartment does not Justify how AWESOME this home is! It’s nothing like a basement or apartment, but more a Mini Cabin! Upon waking in we felt right at home! Everything was SO CLEAN, Cozy and Welcoming! And when I say Clean, I mean CLEAN! Javier made sure we felt right at home letting us know if there was anything we needed to contact him ANYTIME! But we didn’t have to, because everything was already perfect ! The location was great since we’re about 30 minutes to the Ski areas and great food, it was so convenient. Joeys Pancake house was our Breakfast Spot and Willie Brooks BBQ was just mouthwatering Anytime of the day! I can’t say enough about how Cozy this cabin was! We will be booking here for many years to come! I love a home away from home mini vacay and this was Perfect! Thanks Again For making us feel right at home :)

We loved this place! So immaculate and clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was equipped with anything you could possibly need. Such comfortable beds and couches and our kids had a blast with the game cube they didn’t want to leave. We would love to come back again.
