Refund dor very sorry room

Upon arrival, our room was uncomfortable and had an unpleasant odor. The bathroom was extremely dirty, as shown in the photos. They offered us a suite to compensate for the issue for one night, but it wasn't very good either. After the room service cleaned, we found more dirt hidden behind the toilet. I've never experienced such poor service. We hope Hotels.com will help us resolve this issue, as we moved to the Hilton the following day, based on the promise of a refund that never materialized. We are still waiting for the refund for the nights we didn't stay there, and to our surprise, another charge appeared.

Overall, the stay was OK. It was a more cost effective hotel than many others nearby. However, this hotel had a highly dysfunctional staff. There were several arguments via staff while I was there. It seemed to me that the hotel management were promoting a particular manager that did not deserve to be promoted and it made the other staff resentful. The hotel is in a really good location. The rooms were basic but mostly clean. The HVAC controls were terrible which made the stay more irritating than it should have been. With a little bit of investment, the hotel could be much better.

It's a really old hotel, when you enter it has an amazing ambiance. Long walk from valet parking to check-in desk and the elevator is not an elevator its a wheel chair lift so be prepared if you have a lot of bags. Ultimately, if you want to be in the middle of everything your in the right spot. One thing is house keeping has a problem with walking in your room without knocking. She just walked in our room and our friends room in the morning without knocking, just ipens the door and says "sorry".. no good! Other than that I recommend.

Well-appointed room with minifridge, toiletries, plenty of towels, sitting area and a comfortable bed. The ceiling over the bathroom vanity was damaged and peeling and we could hear the people talking (very early morning) in the adjoining room. Some better insulation and upkeep is advised.
