This was our honeymoon, and our A/C was not working we had maintenance come look at it, he said on his phone it was on a chiller system, the thermostat stayed on 74, the next day we told several people about the no A/C, they said they would tell a manager, the next night again no ac, I had to go down to the front desk and pitch a fit for them to move us to a new room, we did not get any compensation for the first 3 days / 2 nights without air in our room! That is the 1st thing I did not like, the 2nd thing I did not like, their website is very misleading, the sargassum and dead fish smell was so bad when we walk out our room and they did nothing to clean it up! It’s very nauseating. The hotel should let their guest know that this is a problem here and their outdoor activities are not available because their beach is gone! We came for a beach and there was not a beach that is the 3rd thing I did not like .
We paid $ 2000. plus both my husband and I took off work for 4 days, plus short term parking at the airport which was $130. So to come here and spend 3 days and 2 nights without air, no beach activities or a beach is very misleading to guests. The hotel did not offer for us to go to their sister hotel or to another beach close by because other hotels in the area keep their beach areas clean ! We were very disappointed and feel we should be given a refund for the 3 days and 2 nights without A/C!
