The room was clean, and the staff very welcoming. The location is great for downtown activities too. Oddly, the bedsheets were intensely staticky, so I got a little shock now and again getting in and out bed. Otherwise, this was a great location.

The room was very beautifully decorated, very clean and filled with amenities. It did have a lack of parking so be sure to be aware of that prior to arrival. Breakfast is also not included and be sure to be aware its a bit costly.

Lakes, Parks and Waterways

With so many lakes right in the heart of the city, it can be difficult to know where to start. If you enjoy hiking, head for Lake Harriet five miles south of Downtown. The idyllic three-mile loop circles the lake and adjoining parkland with family beaches, a rose garden, and boat rentals. Naturist? Hidden Beach at Cedar Lake is notable for being the only nudist beach in the area, although you rarely see people in their birthday suits. The busiest lake is Lake Calhoun, which is within walking distance of Downtown Minneapolis hotels. Rent a canoe from the boathouse, or take a tour of Bakken Science Museum on the west side of the lake.

Minnehaha Falls, six miles southeast of Downtown is a striking waterfall in the middle of an urban setting. The subject of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem "Song of Hiawatha," the Falls are a mesmerizing place to watch torrents of water plunge 53 feet into a gorge.
