Very nice staff. Good breakfast with daily variations. Nice common spaces indoor & out. Very clean. Kids would love the indoor splash/swim park that is adjoined to the neighboring facility. Free parking great for Gatlinburg. Close walk to the downtown parkway and just down road from Smoky Mountain National Park.

The front desk staff was great, giving us towels when we needed them. The room was clean. The pool was great and one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. We loved the breakfast, and it was a good variety of options for our kids. The leaks in the main lobby were unsettling, but they did not distract from our comfort. We appreciate the care put in by the housekeeping staff, and they deserve more recognition and compensation. We look forward to returning for the same event weekend next year!

We had a great day here with our three young children, front desk staff was great, complementary breakfast was good, kids loved the pool and spent hours swimming and going down the slides. Our only issue would be trying to get towels for the pool area as they are not kept by the pool.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in downtown Gatlinburg for a long weekend with our family and had an overall great experience. The staff were consistently pleasant and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Our room was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a large bathroom, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, and sink—everything we needed for a comfortable family stay. One of the highlights was the large windows with beautiful views, which really added to the experience. The lobby is a bit run down, and it’s clear that the hotel hosts large groups from the nearby conference center. This seems to contribute to some noticeable wear and tear in common areas, but it didn’t affect our comfort in the room. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options including bagels, cereal, eggs, pancakes, yogurt, fruit, and cinnamon rolls. We also appreciated that coffee and hot chocolate were available all day. One important thing to note: the water park is not operated by the Holiday Inn Express. If there are any issues with it, the hotel does not take responsibility, which is good to know in advance. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the main strip—making it easy to explore Gatlinburg without needing to drive. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to families looking for a comfortable, convenient place to stay in downtown Gatlinburg.

I think the pool was a big upside (although ventilation and warmer water would be great) and my daughter and son loved it. The continental breakfast was a bigger hit than J expected. Room was spacious and had a decent amount of towels available. Front desk staff was solid.
