VIEWS!
There are FOUR places on the property with extraordinary ocean and coastal views; two of them are side-decks with comfortable seating. The other two are cliffside platforms with seating; they are accessed via a set of cliffside stairs. See pictures for more details!
In the evening take a glass of wine, or a bottle to share, and watch from one of the decks as the sun sets below the horizon of the truly majestic Pacific Ocean. And if it gets a bit cool just pull out one of the warm-n-cozy freshly washed blankets your hosts provide in a convenient outside bin.
Bedrooms
This comfortable set of rooms has both a private bedroom with a queen bed and a furnished main room with a sofa-bed, along with an available floor mattress. The main room closes off to become an additional bedroom for two more people if needed.
Main Room / Kitchenette / Bathroom
The main room has, in addition, a couch, a coffee table and a big, comfortable overstuffed chair. The kitchenette is off to the side and there is a round dining table that is the perfect size for 2 to 4 people. And there is a private bathroom in the unit with a tiled shower and loads of extra towels. (Your hosts also provide a few extra blankets.)
Breakfast
The cupboards are stocked with great coffee and a large selection of top quality teas, plus makings for hot cocoa, hot cereals & more. A few fun snack treats are also provided, along with juices, small bottled waters and a dozen or so small half-n-half 'milkettes' for your first morning!
Other Features & Amenities
The suite has a stove top for light cooking. There is also a mini-refrigerator, a toaster and a microwave oven, along with a pour-over coffee making system.
In your private bathroom you'll find a few travel necessities such as toothpaste, dental floss & safety razors.
There is excellent Wi-Fi but no TV, so plan to relax, read or take your coffee out to sit on one of the decks to enjoy the breathtaking views; they include views of rocky outcroppings, sea stacks and sandy beaches all along the coast.
When you get up in the morning put on one of the freshly laundered robes with slippers provided by your hosts and relax into your day.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to everything in their suite, as well as the courtyard, the gardens, two side decks and the top two landings on the beach stairs. And guest privacy is absolutely respected at all times.
Harris Beach State Park can be seen from the outside decks and cliffside observation platforms. It is just a short walk from the property (or a two minute drive) and the sandy beaches, tide pools and rugged coastline there make it delightful to explore.
The magnificent driftwood covered beach at the harbor is just five minutes away, and its only a short drive to scenic rivers & giant redwoods.
The cliffside stairs are currently available only down to the first two landings, both of which have a seating area with views that stretch to the far horizons of the Pacific Ocean. Your hosts will update this listing when the lower landings on those stairs are again fully available. Also:

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS – by Barbara
Patrick & I were (and still are!) grateful & amazed at the good fortune that came our way when we acquired two 'diamond in the rough' coastal properties on the Southern Oregon coast that are right next to each other. Both sit on their own cliffside acre overlooking the vast Pacific Ocean.
We did not plan on being BnB hosts - it just sort of happened - but we are glad it did because we are always delighted to share these amazing properties with our guests.
I was recently retired from a job in the medical field and Patrick had sold his real estate office when, in March of 2019, we found the coastal property we now live in while we on a road trip through Southern Oregon.
The house that is now our home had been on the market 5 years as part of an estate sale & it needed a lot of work, but we loved it the moment we saw it. **We made the best offer we could afford and our offer was accepted! The separate guesthouse that came with it became our first BnB.
Then in 2022 our elderly & very kind next-door neighbor, a widower, decided to move to Portland to be with family. His circa 1950 house also needed a lot of work. We were experienced hosts at that point and we knew the location and layout were absolutely perfect for another BnB. **So Patrick worked out a deal with the seller that included some seller-financing and we bought it. Then we put in granite counter tops, tiled showers, redwood decks, heated floors, bigger windows and much more.
Our objective was to create a magical space where people can come to relax in quiet comfort with lots of privacy & stunning ocean views. It worked out perfectly and now we love sharing these magical side-by-side properties with our guests!
Thank you for considering a stay with us while in Brookings. Patrick and I wish you safe travels and an enjoyable visit.
Sincerely,
Barbara :)
PS.
1. No one has better coastal views - not even us next door
2. Price & value - nothing comparable at this price
3. W always treat people the way we would want to be treated

Interaction with guests
We enjoy meeting our guests but we will always respect your privacy. Someone is usually on the property at the main house to answer questions and to provide help if any questions come up.
