Gross Room!! Very Unhappy

We hated this room. Eagle Crest Lodge rooms are very outdated and gross! Our room had NO lights in the living room (not even a lamp). Old carpet and couch. The kitchen only had (1) fork. The shower was gross, with rusty hardware (I wore my sandals in the shower and didn’t touch anything!) Hair and ants (bugs) on the floor. The bed headboard was all scratched up. We asked to be transferred to another cleaner room and they had none available. We didn’t want to stay another night but because we booked on hotels.com (third party) they could not cancel, discount or refund the room. I tried to contact hotels.com through the “Live Chat” and could not get through to a live person. The live chat and contact us link just took me in circles. We also booked and paid for a golf course view and we could not see the golf course from our room on the first floor. Instead we had a hedge that blocked the view completely. We paid $630 for two nights! What a ripoff!! Very disappointed!!!! The property was nice but I wouldn’t stay at the lodge ever again.

The resort is in a beautiful setting, Redmond is much quieter than Bend, ranch and farm land and a nice community around it. My husband really liked the golf course and the pool area was nice with lawn chairs on the grass around the pool. Very relaxing. The staff was great as well. There were problems with the TV, very old and would take our fire stick, AC, one large unit in bedroom which makes it freezing in there and warm in the front sitting area and kitchen, and the last day the toilet stopped up. Again, staff was great fixing everything, but as noted, the hotel itself is pretty "tired". The sofa was well worn, no pictures on the walls, 1 fork in kitchen, you get the idea. The hotel itself could use a good scraping and paint job. It was a good get away to a lovely area, but the owners have to put some money back into the "resort" itself to bring it back to probably what it was.

The golf course around the property is beautiful. The lodge its self is out dated, the rooms are not super clean and smell funny. They say check-in time is 4:00 but there was a line of people in the lobby waiting to check in and all the rooms weren't ready. We checked in closer to 4:30. We did not use any of the amenities on the property

The grounds are beautiful, and the fitness centers and sports facilities were a great perk especially with a child. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended for us. The headboard on the bed had peeling faux leather where people likely rested their heads, and the flakes ended up in our bed. The bathroom door frames looked like they had been chewed on and then hastily painted over. The shower was covered in mold along the grout lines, and the metal tray was badly rusted. As for the pull-out couch it was in such poor condition it resembled something left out on the curb with a “free” sign. We didn’t even feel comfortable sitting on it. it.

Let me say first that we love Eagle Crest and are owners. The best part was checking in with a super nice person and the Keurig in the room. The view is very nice.Room is in extreme decline from what I would expect of the hotel at a top line resort. Bedroom has a bed that might have been in it since 1988, with a headboard falling apart on bed. Toilet set has finish coming off, living room furniture is falling apart and carpet is dirty. Room smells very musty. I slept 2 hours because of constant noise coming from upper unit (not hotels fault and they called them at 3am to ask them to quiet down). I am very disappointed on the condition it is in, sad.
