Quiet getaway on the Oregon coast

The grounds and view were spectacular. Outdated rooms and smelly bathroom dragged the rating down. The gym was pretty pathertic and had two pieces or cardio amd one universal set. The pool and beach access were great!

This place has a fantastic view. This is a great place for a staycation and visit to town around. The map for the rooms and the identification of the roads to the buildings needs great improvements. It is not easy to find your room if one arrives late at night, especially when it is foggy and when there is no help to find your room but ONE map in the dark. It would have been nice if a staff could walk with us briefly (30s) to orient ourselves the beginning of the winding roads. Signs to different paths are often missing and ill-placed. There were a few dead insects on the carpet and half-used bath soap in the bathroom when I arrived my room. This place has great potential. The management needs to step in and think in the "shoes" of customers. Yes, it may be too expensive to replace the old rusty key-lock systems and the swelled doors that are hard to open and lock. However, the management can make the logistics for the stay more convenient and enjoyable.

Despite this being one of the best locations we stayed at on our 7-day motorcycle trip, the overall experience was terrible. The property as a whole is beautiful. The patio overlooking the ocean was perfect; however, the inside of our room (Bldg A, 107) was a huge downfall. The mattress is so worn out and squeeky that neither of us got a decent night sleep. You can feel / hear every movement. The outlet receptacles in the room are extremely worn out and wouldn't hold our chargers in place to charge devices. The icing on the cake was that the restaurant on-site is apparently closed Tues - Thurs. This is not advertised anywhere on their website, and was not disclosed to us ahead of time. Having to load back up and travel another 20 minutes south to find food (after all day of traveling) was extremely frustrating. I asked that the property manager to contact me after my visit, but that has not happened. It's been over a week. For the rates that we were charged on a week-night, it was a horrendous rip-off.

We would rate this a 10 stars if that was an option. The view was phenomenal!! The overall property and staff was amazing! Our room needed a little sprucing up decorating wise but was clean and provided what we needed. Having a restaurant within walking distance was an added plus. We were also able to take a trail to Devil's Punchbowl. The Inn was located about 9 miles north of Newport if a larger city is desired and approximately 6 miles from Depoe Bay.

Love the views! Property was quiet and nice! However, I found some hairs (4 long hairs about 3 inches and 3 short hairs about 1 inch) on my bed sheet. That was gross! Looked like bed sheets hadn’t been cleaned.

The Devli's Punchbowl and beach access were wonderful. There are quite a few stairs to the first levels but the property is gorgeous and the views cannot be beat when there isn't fog:) My kids loved the heated pool and ability to tidepool.
