"The stay was okay but the place desperately needs renovations done. The room door I could see through it. I put a chair at the door and put the broom handle at the lock. I was afraid someone might break in. The safe didn’t work either. The vent made noises all night but I was able to get through it somehow. It was cold and the heat did not work. Other than that, everything was ok. The good side was that it is in a very good spot away from the crowds. A lot to see on that side. The staff was especially nice, I appreciated that."

"Hotel was very clean and smelled like a spa in the lobby. The room looked brand new due to renovations. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Ms. Ivy at check-in was the best! We did not use any of the amenities at the hotel so cannot comment on that. The hotel is located on the busy Virginia Beach Blvd so the noise was a little annoying but no fault of the hotel. Would stay here again."

"This property is NOT the experience they post online. The property itself is a disgrace, mold spots all over the ceilings, old disgusting furniture, the mattress legit had a DIP in there center. I started sneezing and wheezing from the minute I checked into the property. Addressed it with staff and they said there was nothing they could do, waited 3 hours for a Manager to get back to me, before I finally checked out and found a new hotel. I contacted Hotels.com to remedy the situation and they ensured the Manager would make it right. I still have yet to hear anything. I simply ask for a refund, and if this is for a Family vacation STEAR CLEAR of this place. I took plenty of pictures and plan to continue to escalate this until it's made Right!!!"

"Check in staff on 5/30/2025 was great, very helpful, very professional and friendly. Room had literally just been painted and the fumes were horrific. Safe was inoperable. Same friendly staff changed my room. There was no room services for three nights/4 days. No sweetner for coffee. We wanted to extend our stay due to a flight change. The front desk staff on 6/1/2025 was night and day different from a hospitality industry standpoint. Not helpful at all. Not interested in assisting in any way. Her primary focus was getting me away from the front desk soa he could get back to her personal phone. There is a reason I try to stay brand loyal to Marriott."
