I booked two rooms at the Long Island Marriott they stated they had a pool both online and when I called. My family's flight was delayed to Tokyo from JFK so I searched for a hotel specifically with a pool to make it up to the kids. When we arrived by Uber which was $100 from jfk as it is not near the airport we were told the pool would most likely be open in a few hours. Despite checking every few hours the pool is not open and it's 9:30. It was never going to open and we were purposely lied to so we would not leave. When I finally layed down to go to sleep for the first time in two days the fridge was making a high pitched alarm sound. I went downstairs to ask for a manager on duty around 9 pm and was told that she was unavailable she was in a conference and I could come back down later and ask for her again.

Woman at front desk (blonde hair) was so rude when I asked a question about the hotel. Beds are awful. Our room did not get housekeeping even though we were gone ALL DAY. Bad experience overall but the front desk was really the tipping point for me. You’re the face of the hotel and it’s your job to be helpful.

Great staff and building , I would rate the restaurant a 3 if it had its only category . Poor service , food wasn’t cooked , and appetizers came out after the meal .

What i didn't like was my room wasn't ready when i checked in (accessible room) and was told i would be called when it was so i waited and waited and finally returned backed to the desk 2 hours later (afrer 5pm) and at that time i was given my room. Meanwhile i had to get get ready for an event which was the purpose i stayed there (came from MD), and ended up being late. I rushed the entire time even have to skipped some of steps to prepare. I wasn't happy about this because i was TOLD I WOULD BE CALLED AND NEVER WAS AS I WAITED PATIENTLY. I ARRIVED AT 3PM. Otherwise everything else was decent.

I liked how the staff greeted me as soon as i came in. From the cleaning crew to the front desk people. Believe it or not, you might find this funny, but the shower head water pressure was amazing!!!! I wanted to stay in the shower all day lol.
