Daiwa roynet is the best. Super clean, super new hotel. Wifi is okay, not amazing. Literally across the street from ikebukuro station south (east) exit. Steps to sunshine city. Unfortunately there isn't really a nice laundromat nearby, so you're gonna have to fight with everyone else.....for the 2 washer/dryer combo units for the entire building. Not ideal.

Nice hotel in a great location

Nice hotel, really helpful staff, clean and modern. Ikebukuro is a great location and the hotel is very close to the station for easy access to all the places you'll want to go. Rooms are small, but this is central Tokyo! Only minor complaint is that the one pillow was tiny.

Convenient and comfort hotel

My family and I stayed in 2 rooms and 7 nights. The hotel location is very convenient near the Ikebukuro JR station and shopping area. The customer service is helpful and responsive to my enquiry via message box. They allow to keep luggages at their concierge before check in and after check out for few hours. The hotel room size is not big but comfortable and clean.

Very close to a Don Quijote store and close to the Ikebukuro Station. Many shops and places to eat by this hotel. My room had a view of the street below and of the buildings.

Room is quite high tech . Toilet flush I smooth n quiet . Bath tub is clean . Iron board is good . Only problem is the space is very restricted. Quite small. My second time staying . The first time I booked a twin room and the doa r is good. Double room is very small. The breakfast is too simple. Not worth my cents . lol.

A few blocks from the Ikebukuro East side exits. Convenient to places to eat, and a combini on the next block corner. Reception is on the third floor. Room was fine, quite standard. There was a window but only looking onto a dark duct-filled airgap so sensibly was covered with a sliding black out blind. Bed was comfortable. TV did not support casting/mirroring. Clean.

Very conveniently located, ikebukuru station nearby, lots of eateries around, room is nice but space is very limited, we had a twin room and there’s only about 2 inches apart from the two beds and hardly any walking space after we laid down our two large suitcase.

Located opposite Exit 40 (right under the Rakuen building) of Ikebukuro Station, which itself a convenient transport node for our day trips to Kawagoe and Kamakura. Surrounded by many retail shops and eateries, and a 7-11 right at the ground floor of the hotel. Serves great breakfast. Should try the soufflé pancakes.
