8 nights around Tokyo

My wife and I stayed for 8 nights. Location was excellent for first time visitors to Tokyo as we picked a pretty traveled area with a main focus being close to a major train station (Shibuya station) to have easy access to other parts of the area. Check in was easy and the only interaction we had with the staff during our stay. Room was clean with fresh linens daily and service every 3rd day. The only reason for a 4/5 on comfort was due to some construction at the time of our stay. There is no good time for construction in a service industry so I don’t fault them. Our floor (3 of 14) had the central part of the floor layout with tarp and scaffolding. A decent amount of rain would come in through the area soaking the carpets and giving a slight musk to the entry but it did not impact the room. Typhoon that came through didn’t help the amount of water. The hotel was daily ripping out carpet and furniture from higher up floors so it was clearly understood as part of the process and being resolved. It was the off season pricing already but it would have been going the extra step for some comped breakfast to the attached restaurant. I would still 100% recommended if you choose the Shibuya area to consider staying here.

The bed was alright, though it would have been nice to have the option of two duvets instead of one, when traveling as a couple. The room felt a bit moist. The was a lot of dust in the “hard to reach” surfaces. Overall the hotel was decent.

I like the proximity to Shibuya and major metro lines. I didn't like the smell in the washroom and the carpet seems dirty. I paid attention before and after cleaning schedule and the carpet seems not cleaned. There is also a stain on the carpet by the fridge.
