Very nice property. Only had one buffet but service and food was good. Overall a nice resort, but small. We checked in late due to our flight being delayed 5 hours from Chicago. But when we finally arrived Saturday morning, we were able to check in within 10 minutes. Very accommodating and didnt get bothered for a timeshare.... would definitely return.

We recently stayed at this resort, and while there were some positives, our overall experience was disappointing. The Good: The beach is beautiful, very walkable, and definitely a highlight of our stay. The facility and rooms were clean, which we appreciated. The Bad: Unfortunately, the food was a major letdown. The selection was poor, the food was often cold, and my wife got sick from it—she spent an entire afternoon in bed with vomiting and diarrhea. We've traveled to Mexico many times and stayed at numerous resorts, but this was by far the worst when it came to dining. The drinks were also very weak. While they would make them stronger upon request, it was clear they didn’t want to. Additionally, the shower handle in our room wouldn’t stay in position, forcing us to hold it up while trying to wash. Final Thoughts: Given our experience, we won’t be returning to this resort—or any Solaris properties in the future.

Heavy doors slamming/echoing in the halls, thin walls could hear other tv and conversations, plumbing wasn’t working properly in bathroom. A/C couldn’t be adjusted. Food in specialty restaurants was either extremely spicy or extremely tasteless. Few choices on menu. Drinks were inconsistent. It was disappointing at best. Have stayed at 2 other Royal Solaris resorts and were happy with them .

My girlfriend (age 22) and I (age 21), thought the property was great for a quiet relaxing trip. Not a whole lot going on at night which was a little bit disappointing. But the staff were on the ball with drink service around the pool and the beach was massive. It was nice to sit on the beach if you wanted to get away from people for a bit. Lots of older people and kids, so if you’re looking for more nightlife, activities, and parties, probably not the place for you. The rooms were great very modern and spacious. If you are looking for a quiet getaway I do recommend this place. The buffet was average at best, could find things to eat regardless. The pizza stand was a nice touch as well as the sushi bar. We were pretty forgetful on reservations for restaurants so we only really got the chance to try the Zai Japanese restaurant which was fantastic. One thing I did really like was right off the resort, we went to eat at a place across the street and it was the best food I had. And there’s a ton of walkable restaurants in the vicinity and from my experience was safe to go off resort. The town of San Jose was very cool and if your here on Thursdays I recommend going to the art walk downtown.

The food was mediocre. I wish they had better food options. The gym I went a few times, the machines didn’t seem clean and some were broken, I scraped my knee on a broken pulley cord from one of them. There wasn’t proper sanitation wipes to use which I found a bit odd. Lysol wipes are not the best for skin contact. Also, not many activities to do around the resort, felt kind of bored.

I checked before extending my stay what room category would be available and requested a corner suite. Marco said they would provide that so I extended my stay and bought two more nights after I did that I did not get the room. He promised me in the front desk .Staff are very unhelpful and incredibly rude and so is guest services. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. Bartenders, Servers and Hostesses were good. I almost missed my flight at checkout because they said the Bellman would not be available for half an hour very very poor customer service

Multigenerational family trip with toddlers to grandparents. Very average resort. Food was somewhat plentiful but very average in taste or authenticity. Drinks were average, watered down. Nothing premium. Specialty restaurants were a regurgitation of the same food and flavour profiles at the buffet. Long Lineups at the outdoor pizza shop, Sushi bar was good during the day. Rooms were relatively clean. Beach was nice. Would not recommend this resort
