A journey through Japan would not be complete without a trip to Sensoji Temple. Unpack the camera and uncover the reasons that it's so iconic.
Head on over to Tokyo, the nation's capital city, and have a look.
It will be a breeze pinning down suitable accommodation in which to decompress at the end of an exhilarating day. There are 41 possibilities within an easy walk of Sensoji Temple. So many options can complicate a decision. We would recommend first checking out the rooms at the Sadachiyo, Ryokan Kamogawa Asakusa and Residential Hotel B:CONTE Asakusa.
If you'd like to put away some of your hard-earned money for a rainy day, check out some of the low-cost hotels available here. The Khaosan World Asakusa Ryokan, 0.3 miles (0.5 kilometers) away, and the Hotel Kaminarimon, 0.2 miles (0.3 kilometers) away, are two to begin with.
You'll find a handful of high-end hotels within easy commuting distance, perfect in case you're feeling like you need a little pampering. Rooms at The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo and Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi are worth checking out.
There's nothing as good as exploring somewhere new to get your appetite going. Once you've visited Sensoji Temple, replenish your energy levels just five minutes away, at Kagetsudō. A notable eatery which is also close by is 浅草Royals. It's a fantastic choice if you're particularly hungry or want something a little more extravagant. If you have no desire to go to sleep just yet, have a refreshing glass of wine or beer at バー・サンク, also just down the road.
Give your legs a break and hop on the train to Sensoji Temple. From Asakusa Station, the most convenient station, it's an easy walk of 0.2 miles (0.3 kilometers). You could also take the train to a different station, Asakusa Sta, which is 0.3 miles (0.5 kilometers) away.
