I didn’t like how noisy it was and I requested to be at the empress tower but they put us at the dynasty tower. It was smelly, dirty and noisy!!!! We couldn’t even relax nor sleep the whole time we stayed there. Next time we will do ABNB

The hotel is doing updates and renovations but it did not effect our stay. The staff are all super nice and accommodating. The bingo room was fun and easy. Mel’s Diner is an excellent place to eat! Had a blast in Reno and can’t wait to go again!

The size of the tv was nice. Air Conditioner didn’t work well and carpet and ceiling was coming up or coming off. Couldn’t see out the windows. They had film or residue on it.

I booked a non-smoking King Size room. When I arrived, I was told that there were no non-smoking rooms available. The check-in person was totally unhelpful, and since it was late I basically had no choice but to accept a smoke-filled room. Then as I was leaving the check-in desk, I heard the check-in person on the next line tell another guest who was just checking in, that they could "upgrade to a non-smoking room for an additional fee". I felt totally ripped off...

Dated and drab property with little going for it to distinguish it from others in the category it aspires to. From a reception area in a smoky section of the casino to rooms with furniture that seems to have been there since the sixties this place is shabby but hardly chic. Bed and bathroom linens are very cheapy. The room I was in had no desk which I found surprising for a property that has conference facilities. It took ten minutes for my shower to get any hint of hot water and then it was only lukewarm. The dresser in my room had numerous nicks and scuffs and one drawer was missing a handle. In general the whole place shows a lack of attention to detail for the guest experience. Parking was inconvenient. There is a multi story garage but there is an overhead barrier (6' 1" ) at opening of the steep entrance. I was in a rented minivan that was very close to that height and wasn't going to chance scraping the top so I had to park in the open lot and leave the vehicle outside all night. There was construction going on with work beginning at 7 am, so forget about sleeping in. Overall you're getting a chain motel experience at hotel prices. I will not return and I recommend that visitors to downtown stay at a nicer spot, and that visitors in general consider a property away from downtown.

The hotel room was dirty with old scratched furniture and nothing like the pictures on the website. I was glad we got a refrigerator but realized too late that they hadn’t plugged it in! There was no plastic bags provided for the ice bucket. There was only a few hangers. We had an adjoining room that was locked but the man in the adjoining room kept cursing and yelling at us every time we entered the room when our door shut saying “quit slamming the fucking door!”. There was a water leak at the ice machine at the elevator intrance/exit to our room that made the floor very slippery, we almost fell. Not a good experience!

Rooms could be cleaner dated curtains and wall covering. Not made aware of $75 credit card hold 7-10 days not $21 hold fee???
