Where to begin? The host - Naya Homes - did not respond to us for our entire 8 day stay. When we arrived in Puerto Vallarta on the morning of our stay, we still hadn't received any sort of check in instructions, despite asking the host for them over several days. We then spent 90 minutes on the phone with VRBO trying to get a new booking, before they were finally successful in speaking to someone from Naya Homes who said they would send instructions 30 minutes prior to check in. When we eventually got into the condo, there was a mountain of garbage in the kitchen with flies and other insects swarming around it. We tried to contact both Naya Homes and VRBO and had no response. We eventually had to bag all the garbage up ourselves and take it into the town to dispose of it. The condo building has a series of gate codes to enter and exit (and some are different for entering vs exiting). The exit codes we were given were incorrect, leaving us trapped in a stairway. We eventually found another guest in the building who gave us the correct code.The only contact we had from Naya Homes throughout the entire stay was automated messages. When we tried to either call them or message them, we heard nothing back. There was a problem with power, as well, with several power cuts meaning we often couldn't use air conditioning or fans. Overall, an incredibly disappointing stay, especially given the high cost of the booking.
