"Nice Hotel close to the University of California."
I initially booked one night via travelocity. On check out morning I asked if I could stay an extra night for same price. (This after the registration desk the night before said they had a lot of empty rooms in case I wanted to add an extra night.) The woman behind the desk said I would have to pay the new (and higher) rate. Well, the ~ $100 higher rate did not comfort my fiscal prudence, so I said, "Thank you, no", checked out and went to a 1/3rd cheaper hotel which I was completely satisfied with. I guess the Claremont would prefer an empty room to > $250.

"Decent place, location"
Nice staff, room looked good, very clean. A/C would shut off for long intervals even when on "hi" which made for a warm night. Overall I'd stay here again, but make sure the ac is good.

"Convenient, clean, may be a bit overpriced."
Visited during a very busy weekend, but hotel staff managed every situation with friendly and professional service. Hotel itself is fine. Rooms are clean and somewhat spacious. In-room K-Cups were good to have. Because it was a holiday weekend, rooms with balconies were sold out so we ended up in room facing the parking lot and with sounds of Amtrak train horns every couple of hours (although we can't really blame the hotel for that). Somehow $200+ per night seemed steep for what we got, and therefore not 5-star in the ratings.

Regret not staying an extra night. Wishes we would of spent more time in our room. Very nice and clean and beautiful area and still close enough to the coliseum. Will definitely stay here again.

"Clean, comfortable, but a bit noisy"
We got a corner room on the second floor. We live in the country, so to be fair, it was a bit noisy for us. I could have asked for a different room. The drapes did a pretty good job of noise dampening. The room was a nice size, with a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Room service for breakfast was good. The temperature control was a bit fussy, but eventually cooled the room to a very comfortable level. We did not eat in the restaurant, although we did have some nice drinks and bar food. We were surprised that the bar switched off liquor at 11:30pm I think, and served only beer.
