Loud train kept us awake at night, requested change and staff did not help. Air Conditioning did not work - requested repair and it was not done. Gave us 3 decaf coffee for coffee maker (instead of usual 2 caffeinated, 1 decaf). Bed fair at best.

Great location, Can't Wait to Return

Pros: Convenient location to my needs. Even thought they have in and out valet parking ($30 per night) I was able to walk to good restaurants and sights.
Cons: I think the soap and lotion had a weird smell.
Location: Everett & Jones BBQ, a good Chicken and Waffles place; Yoshi's, a music venue ... all walking distance. A lovely Farmers Market on Sunday.
My 3rd time at the hotel. Convenient location within walking distance from some good restaurants, and a movie theater. The hotel restaurants are nice, good food, friendly and responsive staff. Delicious hot fresh coffee in the lobby each morning. I wasn't there for the Happy Hour but they said they have wine and cheese in the afternoons. The rooms are clean, they provide ear plugs which is always an uh-oh, but they are near a train track. And I could sometimes hear other guests closing doors or speaking in the hall, but it was not a problem at all. I didn't need the ear plugs. The room has a Keurig coffee pot in case of emergency and you can't get to the lobby which seems to also have Keurig available at all times and that fresh coffee that comes out at 6 am.

Pros: staff was polite and rooms are fairly updated. beautiful fireplace in the lobby.
when checked into our room, the bed was slept in and candy wrappers and trash were left on the floor and table. they quickly gave us another room, yet it was smaller and faced a public walkway. very thin walls with loud noise coming from not only outside and the clubs at night, but the people above us and in the hall. children ran through our outdoor balcony in the morning 1 day about 7am.

Lovely hotel in Jack London Square

Location, location, location! Jack London Square is right by the ferry to San Francisco, AMTRAC, busses and BART. The Square has lots of activity and is a fun place to be. Best of all for a dry-lander like me, the hotel is right on the water with a private marina at the back and a public one down the way. My room was almost too big and had all the amenities one would expect plus there was a fitness room with sauna close by. The staff was friendly, helpful, experienced.

Convenient, clean, may be a bit overpriced.

Pros: Good location. Very clean. Professional and pleasant staff.
Location: Great location near SF ferry terminal, SF Bay estuary and Jack London Square. A long walk to BART transit.
Visited during a very busy weekend, but hotel staff managed every situation with friendly and professional service. Hotel itself is fine. Rooms are clean and somewhat spacious. In-room K-Cups were good to have. Because it was a holiday weekend, rooms with balconies were sold out so we ended up in room facing the parking lot and with sounds of Amtrak train horns every couple of hours (although we can't really blame the hotel for that). Somehow $200+ per night seemed steep for what we got, and therefore not 5-star in the ratings.

Beautiful view, comfortable room

We had a waterfront room with a beautiful view. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The cafe downstairs provided coffee/breakfast at a reasonable price.

Wonderful Hotel

I spent the weekend with my boyfriend, we both loved it. The staff was extra polite and helpful. The hotel, though a little older, was very charming and super clean. The location was perfect, too, right by the water and just a ferry ride away from San Franciso. I definitely plan to stay here again.

Beautiful place

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
This is by far the best place we have stayed while in the Bay. Don't think we will want to stay in the city anymore listening to all the street noise til all hours of the night! Strolling the waterfront with a cup of coffee the next morning was fabulous and the staff were all great!!! They even lit the fire pit out by the pool for us. GREAT stay!
