"The Pilot House was absolutely wonderful for our family. A welcoming home with the bonus of a relaxing pool area where we spent much of our time. Our host Rosemary was super responsive and had great information about the area. Bethany is a fabulous beach with a small town feel and the location of this house was fabulous ... close enough to be convenient, but a little ways away from the noise and bustle of town. I highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!! "

"The house, was very nice. It was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and a great location. It would have been nice, if there was some information about the pool location, beach trolley, local restaurants, etc. We weren't familiar with Bethany. And wasted some time, finding these things out ourselves. But had a great trip. "

"Communication with owner was not well at all. I asked questions for months and months ahead of our trip and continuously got no response. Even the day we checked in, I got no response until the house was ready. The house was clean and in a good location with a very nice pool! "

"The home is in a good location, and the check-in process was smooth. The owner also provides supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, spices, coffee, and trash bags, which was convenient.That said, the property could benefit from more thorough preparation between guests. The furnishings and finishes are dated, and the furniture shows its age. We noticed dust and dirt in several areas, including under furniture, where our toddlers also found small items left behind from previous stays. We also came across a used water bottle in one bedroom and what appeared to be used personal care items in another. One of the air filters we checked was very dirty.Given the substantial cleaning fee, the level of cleanliness did not meet expectations. In addition, guests are expected to make all beds upon arrival and to strip beds and wash sheets and towels at the end of the stay. The home is also quite full of décor, which makes the space feel crowded.With a deep cleaning, air filter replacement, some decluttering, and updates to furnishings, this property could be much more comfortable for future guests."
