Good hotel but needs some improvement

I love location of this hotel. Very convenient. Front desk lady was super nice. Pool is great. I was in this hotel few times and this time was a little disappointing Breakfast was just muffins and yogurt.. I don’t consider that as breakfast. Rooms and bathrooms are a little dated. Overall is good but needs some improvement and better breakfast

The room smells musty. The hotel front desk employee was rude, disrespectful and dismissive. There is rust in the bathroom. Stains on the ceiling from leaks. I tried to get a different and was denied. I so glad I am only here for one night.

Terrible experience, we arrived and were greeted by the front desk lady, she was pleasant and gave us our parking pass and room key. We went up to our room, and were greated by a strong moldy, mildew smell and wet carpet. Went to the front desk and they sent the maintenence man, he opened the ac vent to expose a giant ice ball. The ac was completely frozen over and leaking onto the floor. They turn the ac to heat mode and brought fan, i went to the front desk to ask if they had any other rooms, the manager came out and started yelling, cursing, slamming her hands on the desk in the back yelling incoherent. The front desk just apologized as the manager went on a strange rampage. We put our belongings in our car while they tried to sort out the room, and come back 4 hrs later to a giant drying fan, wet floors and still moldy smell. Asked if these was anything else that could be done, front desk said they were booked completely snd had no other rooms, sent the maintenance man back, he said he could do anything else. We slept in a moldy room, with wet floor, and non-working ac, breakfast was terrible just some orange juice and cereal. 0/10

This is in the town and close to everything. They offered a shuttle to/from beach, which was wonderful. Breakfast on Sat AM was missing the eggs and yogurt, which was there other days (rest was heavy carbs which I have to avoid) all I could get was coffee. But my kid liked the options and it was a good spread. Nice to have and there was an eating area as well. So much was walkable: beach, boardwalk, shopping, restaurants. We had a nice view of the town from balcony. Pool is available. It’s indoors and small. We didn’t use it but many were. It’s on the top floor and it is set up cute, we just skipped it. Has elevator and stairs. The staff was so nice and helpful. Room was clean. Room has bedroom, bathroom and living area with kitchenette and balcony. I thought it was perfect for our 2 night beach stay.

Beach shuttle service. Loved it! Disappointed that hot breakfast is no longer served there. Just cold continental. The Breakers Hotel and Suites is a good deal but, the WAIT for the only 1 elevator is a long one and especially if you are older and or handicapped and cant do the stairs.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Close to the beach and Rehobeth Avenue but far enough away to avoid the traffic and other street noise at night. The comfortable bed meant a great night sleep for me. Front desk clerk was friendly and helpful.

Not what we expected.

The Breakers was not really what we expected, especially with its wonderful reviews. The hotel doesn’t have a beach vibe feel. It’s quite dull. The lobby was sometimes unattended and often smelled like pot. The bed was not comfortable, mattress worn out. The photos of the breakfast on the website did not look like the breakfast that was offered. It was served starting at 8 and we are early risers. The shuttle service to the beach was not available one of the days we were there but runs from 10-5. Most people like to get to the beach earlier. There standing lamp in the room but no place to plug it in. Overall we were not impressed with this highly rated hotel.

Rusted towel holders in bathroom, beds were uncomfortable, 1 elevator for the whole hotel long wait to catch an elevator and with a handicap person it was not comfortable..first day there their shuttle service to the beach was not working. Got coffee at night and tasted old. Wanted to take trash but was not provided with extra trash bags.

This is our third time staying here. The only downside is the “continental breakfast”. They only have cereal, bagels, and muffin. When I stayed here 2 years ago, breakfast consisted of eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage. Not sure why it changed.
