My (full-price) room had a large hole and stain on the wall, and 2 other holes that had been plastered, but not repainted. Paint peeling on door frame. The kitchenette was a small microwave perched on top of a small fridge. TV screen was a smaller than my computer screen at home. Shampoo dispenser was gone (taken) entirely. It all looked shabby. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and I know they have some nice rooms, but not this time.

Hotel Ruby Foo's

Our stay was very nice. We stayed for Five days. The rooms were very clean and nice. However, I was not told ahead of time I would need a security deposit when I checked in, even though I had already paid for the room. The bathroom had a leak in the shower head, and no way to take a bath since the drain plug was missing. Other than that it was all very nice and clean. Staff was very friendly.

Based on the research I found out that this property was apparently built in 1960s. Someone who is booking this hotel through online sites wouldn’t have a clue about its flaws until they check-in. Property is well maintained from outside until you enter the room. That is when you actually see the aging on this hotel. From carpet, ceiling to walls, everything shows the signs of its age. Crazy rattling noise from Air Conditioning unit, bathroom fans will haunt you all night especially if you are used to staying at modern hotels. I tried moving my rooms couple of times but then I gave up and shoved papers in gaps of grill to stop the noises from AC. Hotel front desk staff is friendly but that is where it ends. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless you it is your only option left to choose from.
