I absolulty love this Hotel . It’s been over 20 years since my last visit and the staff always amazes me. From the front desk to the Cleaning Ladies for the rooms to the bar. And the concierge is so fantastic. We met the property manager. He was so friendly. I think we must’ve chatted for 30 minutes. I love the pool on the roof. The fact you can have a drink lay by the pool and actually take a shower right after it’s so refreshing. They know where all the great restaurants are to eat and if there’s anything extra that you need, they’re always there to help. This is a must stay when you go to South Beach.!

We arrives at 2:30pm and were told our room was not a available and that we could go to their bars/pool to wait - being told our official checkin time wasn’t until 4pm. We returned at 4:15pm after ($100 bill at the pool bar for a few snacks and a couple of drinks) and our room still wasn’t ready. We were offered a free bottle of bubbly for our room not being available and finally had our room by 5pm. The cabin was clean and well maintained - but the checkin was not good or timely. It almost made us wonder if it was a tactic to get you to spend at their facilities by delaying the room. This wasn’t a busy weekend, it was a quiet Thursday night during the off-season.

The room was nice but in a different building than the main lobby. Our first night was awful with loud music from the News Cafe on the ground floor. We had to be moved to a higher floor. At checkout the final bill was not available. Bottled water was provided on day one of our stay only. Guests are expected to fill their own bottles from the gym cooler. For the kind of money we spent on this property, we expected better facilities. Some staff members were helpful and dependable.
