My wife and I don't travel a lot, but when we do we are very cost-conscious. We mostly book hotels away from the city, so some of our expectations may be high for a city hotel like the Kenmore.
The first thing we found is that there is NO PARKING ON-SITE. While many city hotels offer a parking lot or garage, the Kenmore has nothing. You need to park at a nearby garage, which is bad unless you come on a weekend or holiday. They charge by the hour with a max of $20 for 24 hours.
The room was extremely small, and the furniture was just a desk, a chair, one night table. There was not even room for the suitcases: we put them on the floor.
The bathroom was tiny with very little room for toiletries and the shower had no place for shampoo or wash cloth. A step from the room to the bathroom was dangerous.
The room opened with a code, but they gave us key fob after we complained.
Pros:
Beautiful outdoor sitting area, 10 min walk to the beach, clean
Cons
No on-site parking
No drop off area
Tiny room
Pool closes at 'dusk' (about 7pm)
Only one night table, one chair, no dresser, no microwave, no place to put suitcases
Tiny bathroom, tiny shower, no shower rack for shampoo, very little counter space
Push button codes for building and room entry.
No alarm clock
Footsteps could be heard from upstairs room.
Air conditioner worked but could not be changed to imperial units.
No free coffee (our first hotel where this was not offered)
