Close to subway station and many eateries. Always someone there to open the door. Only downside was elevator was extremely small & the room’s heater made the room extremely warm that I left the fan going as well so it wasn’t unbearable.

This is a good place to stay if you are trying to save money. The rooms without a bathroom are small but for those who don't mind sharing bathrooms down the hall, it is fine. We preferred having a bathroom in our room, so got the more expensive (still not bad) room, and were very happy with it. Clean, beds made up every day, AC in the room worked well. Too bad the elevator was not working, but we were able to get a room on the 2nd floor (we are older so needed fewer stairs).

Basic hotel for those on a budget

Broadway Hotel and Hostel is a basic hotel for those on a budget. It's located on Broadway, just a few miles from Times Square and Columbus Circle. Lots of shops nearby. Very friendly, young staff. The building, however, is very old which means the bathroom, the rooms, and the elevator aren't in the best shape. Other than fresh towels and coffee, you must provide everything else yourself. With that said, I would definitely stay here again.

BLOOD ON THE WALLS AND SHEETS

Not worth a single penny, the bedrooms are old and dusty. There was blood on the bed railing and walls! The sheets were stained, hair was in the sheets roaches in the bathroom. This place is just disgusting! Stay away!!!

stolen Item in community keepsafe

Hello, My stay started of pleasant with an availability for a 1 nights stay. However, the extra morning an item was stolen from me. Upon checkout I informed the receptionist on duty. I was told i would receive follow up about this item an there would be an investigation as well as a refund for this item. I placed this item in a communual area with other guest items. I have test to receive any communication from the host. Please assist in my refund for the stolen item.

Good to find and easy access to subway

Location: Columbia University
However, when reserving the price was about 106dollers including taxes for 3nights at the bunker bed, in reality, it was about 117 dollars. Why is that?

Very nice hotel in good proximity to the subway.

The room was quite comfortable my only complaint was that the elevator move very slow. But very great location and for this price you can't beat the convenience.

The place to go if you are looking for a bargain

Stayed for 4 nights with a budget. A decent location- 1 block away from No 1 subway. But still a 30-minute train ride to downtown. The room was ok. Had a damp smell but was in decent shape. Had a TV and free wifi. The shared bathroom could be cleaner but it was not the worst I had seen.

Spartan, but nice. Excellent front desk staff

Pros: The staff and the ambience.
Cons: Reservation system is sloppy; almost everyone who booked online was told staff could not find the reservation.
Make sure you have your confirmation in writing! Clean, quiet. Room was dormitory style and only contained a sink and bunk beds. I was not warned that I could be assigned a roommate, ahead of time.
