"nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood "
I like the fact that the hotel is located on the upper West side. Quiet but convenient to get to the subway. A lot of nice restaurants and shops nearby. A good location if you want to be in the city but away from all the crowds.

"This hotel was the best value in terms of product and service"
The Cassa is centrally located to 90% of what we wanted to see. Eric and Henry provided tips on the best way to experience the culture of NYC and even made reservations. The rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable -important when you stay 5 days.

"Excellent hotel - very comfortable, classy rooms"
Loved my stay at the Gramercy - my room was spacious, well appointed comfortable and classy. The hotel restaurant is excellent and the downstairs bartenders are attentive, creative and fun - no pretense! Great location for me with access to Flatiron area and terrific selection of local restaurants ranging from select bar food, top notch Italian to very good Indian food. I got a great deal in an off month and would love to stay here again if rates come down a bit.

"Classy, Romantic Hotel Near the Rock!"
On arrival, my fiance and I were quickly greeted with a warm welcome. As you enter the Michelangelo, it becomes clear that the hotel is primarily setup for romance. My fiance was smiling from ear to ear, which was very calming to me. The check-in was the quickest in recent memory, as if they were expecting us. Customer service is always very appreciated. Being that it was late on Friday evening, all we wanted was a cool, dark, quiet place to lay our weary heads. The doorman was spot-on with guiding us to our room. Being a tough customer, even I was impressed with how romantic the room felt. The room had room, which was nicely decorated with several amenities to include a fully stocked wet-bar. The bathroom was nicely laid out, with a bidet. Although not used, the bidet became an interesting topic of discussion. The weekend was fast and furious, but the hotel served as our place of rescue/solitude from the enduring touristic beast throughout Manhattan. The restaurant was equally well served with good food and drink. Now, we can all agree that you get what you pay for. I will be back and highly recommend.

"Exceptionally quiet, luxurious and stylish hotel. "
I visited NY for a short vacation and wanted to stay near Central Park and the Upper E. side. I chose The Surrey because of the high ratings and I was not disappointed. Staff greeted me politely and professionally and the check in was wonderful. The room was beautiful with a street view and lovely amenities. Another reason I chose The Surrey was the collection of art throughout the hotel. It's wonderful to see the modern and post-modern works throughout. The Surrey is a famous hotel where many political and cultural icons stayed and I wanted to experience this as well. Both of these really make the hotel stand out among others in it's class. Finally, breakfast from the cafe was absolutely perfect.

"4 Wonderful Days in New York City"
A lovely, quaint and crisp Hotel, centrally located. Our plane arrived very early on a Thursday, hours before check-in time. The staff graciously held our baggage and invited us to partake in breakfast within their charming second floor gathering room. Each evening the staff served complimentary wine along with cheese and desserts in the same room. We were able to meet and chat with other guests from around the world. The rooms were clean, current and well maintained. I will definitely stay at the Library Hotel again, an oasis within the bustle of NYC

"A Real Find in NYC"
We stay in NYC at least once a year and chose this hotel to get a little further downtown than our normal location. It was also a great deal through Travelocity and we ended up booking a King Suite for $212 a night which is a huge steal. The location was perfect for what we were looking for. It was a short walk from Penn Station, a few blocks from the Empire State Building, Madison Square Park, and the Flatiron Building, but it was tucked away enough to be relatively quiet. For the foodies, Eataly is a short walk away and Les Halles is around the corner. There were tons of dining options within walking distance and the subway line to get to Broadway was a few blocks away and only two stops which makes it very convenient for the theatre lovers. The major draw to this place is that it is out of the way of the throngs of tourists but close enough to get to everything you want to visit. The room itself is attractively decorated in a modern way and the suite was huge even for New York. The air conditioner rattled a bit, but it was mostly white noise. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. We were in the front of the hotel, so there was a bit of street noise during the day which stopped over night. We are definitely going to stay here again.
