Great location

Pros: location
Cons: the elevators
Location: walk out the hotel to the right and get a $20 USD massage! Amazing and cheap!!!
Solid spot. Easy to access the beach and all things downtown Cabo with a walk on the beach. Pretty busy and bustling in July. Pool was always packed. Lot's of families. Elevator broke a couple times...I was not in it but spoke with people who were. We used the other hotel pools almost everyday. Had friends staying at Del Arco. I'd stay there again.

Resort located on the waterfront

We spent a week at the Villa Del Palmar and it was a wonderful place. The staff was very good and check-in was easy. We opted to get the all-inclusive package which meant all of our food and drinks were included. There was a wide variety of food options including a taco bar and sushi bar as well as the pool bar. Every night there was a themed night including Mexican night and Michael Jackson night. The rooms were very nice, we stayed in a one-bedroom Studio that faced the ocean and was above the pool. There were quite a few pools to enjoy including a water slide for the kids. The only downside to the stay was the fact that the resort also sells timeshares. So you were always being asked to do the timeshare tour, which we did not. But overall a great place in Cabo San Lucas.

Great experience at Cabo

Just came back from a full week trip and it was a great time. The hotel itself was clean and the rooms were great. Check it took a bit and the concierge will set you up right away for a time share presentation. If you wish to receive discounts and free drinks then attend,if not then say no quickly because they last about 4 hours and wont let you go. The restaurants are great,excellent food but are not cheap. For 3 tacos your looking at 15 bucks so I recommend to go outside the resort and experience some great food at a better deal. Lots of activities and plenty of vendor on the beach. Nightlife is great and the city is safe. Also the marina has lots of activities and is a 20 minute walk. Taxis are from 9 to 14 dollars and a bus is 2 bucks. Staff is nice and helpfull and of course the beach is lovely. Overall a great place to stay and if you wish to save a buck then go outside the resort. PROS: Prices, views, location, activities, staff Cons: Timeshare,check in and witness a vendor mistreating a horse and security didnt help.

Rooms have significantly gone downhill.

Rooms were "surface" clean but upkeep on rooms were awful. We had broken black stained tiles from mold on bathroom floor. Walls were dirty. Paint peeling. Orange Couch in living area was uncomfortable to sit on at a 90' right angle with no backrest pillows. Bed was really hard- like sleeping on the floor. Very unhappy. Will not stay there again - total rip off for what we paid.

Probably the last time we will stay here!

Location: The location is great with the town close by!
My wife and family have probably stayed here approx. ten times in the past. We have decided that we will be moving on to a new hotel for the following reasons. 1.) The hotel is aging and there needs to be some remodeling of the rooms. The pillows are wore out and flat as a pancake. The sliding glass door hardware is wore out and sound like a jet engine opening and closing. The rooms need a DEEP cleaning. 2) the pool water is dirty i.e.: hair floating on top, suntan oil on top diaper particles floating on top and most of all the water temps are so dam cold no one can get in. COME ON PEOPLE!! We also don't appreciate young children in the ADULT hot tub splashing water in our faces. If the sign says no children the it should mean NO CHILDREN! GET WITH THE PROGRAMM STAFF!!! Also we called the concierge for a reservation and she told us she would make it and call us back! Right! We finally made it ourselves. WE pay good cash to come down and vacation and don't want these things to get in our way! Hotel manager, if your listening-take a flight to the US stay a HILTON Garden in and start taking notes???

CABO Trip. Sammy Hagar Concert

First, I'll start with right after we checked in and went up to our room after getting in and bell boy brought our luggage. The water was not working in the room at all. I called down to the front desk and told the lady it wasn't working. She acted like she didn't know anything. I said we just walked in and this isn't a good start. I said how are we going to be compensated for this inconvenience. She said let me get you a manager. I was on hold within a few minutes the water started working. Never spoke to a manager. Just hung up the phone. Then after getting settled in. Noticed there was any Hot water. A friend I ours had checked in the day before. He called down and said he hasn't had hot all day yesterday and that day. I called back down the totally acted surprised. Knowing my friend had called several times. She said we'all check it out. We went about our day and the next day still no hot water. Finally got turn on Saturday night. We checked in Friday and our friend had been there since Thursday. I had gone down to the front desk to get break a 100 dollar bill. No problem guy gave me what I wanted. On Monday the day we checked out. Go downto the front desk to check out. Wanted to pay for our airport shuttle in cash. I only had a 100 bill. Lady told me I needed to show my passport to pay with cash. I thought she was joking. She wasn't. she said she didn't have change. After showing my passport. She had change then. Wow! Nice place. But they've got issues. Won't stay

My Stay

Pros: Location
We had problems with our rooms, they were working on the rooms below painting ECT. the fumes from the work made most of the party sick and ruined a 4 day vacation. asked to see manager several times but he was too busy. the last day they did change one of our rooms and help ....for the last day of stay. Also the pool was dirty, This trip was completely ruined due to them not taken care of its clients.

Beach access, family friendly, has all amenities

It's a timeshare so be prepared. If you're not interested in buying or sitting at a 3 hr meeting tell them & continue to tell them or you'll get frustrated & lose your precious time for relaxation
