My only requirements when checking in was to have a clean room with a bed. But i was quite shocked when i got to the room at how wonderful and clean it was!

I stayed 7 nights at La Quinta. The staff was extremely courteous. If needed I would stay here again however when I was there They had a lot of construction going on. The hallways smell like paint. It’s difficult to sleep at night becuase it’s located on a Main Street of LA. The breakfast was decent. However they do need to add more fruits and veggies to the menu. Lots of bread and egg. Overall I would rate it a 3.0 hotel

Please Note is is $20.00 per day to park at hotel. This was shocking at first but quickly learned this is normal for LA. Overall nice hotel, great breakfast included!

Pros: Proximity to the airport.
Cons: Guest rooms need updates.
We were looking for a hotel nearby the airport as we had a morning flight and did not want to get stuck in LA traffic. We chose La Quinta for its location and price. The location was excellent to get to the airport and price was decent compared to other hotels in the area. The appearances of the lobby and entrance were not very pleasing and a bit confusing since we could not find a clear signage of the hotel. (The hotel is going through renovation?) The room we stayed in was ok. I felt the bathroom could definitely use an update. Again, we were just there for a night so we tolerated the room.

This was not the way we had planned to finish off our vacation but I guess it was the cheapest place in the area near the airport. We were caught off guard by a few things. First I thought it was ridiculous to have to pay for parking at a hotel we were already paying to stay at and second having to pay a deposit that could take up to two weeks to be returned?? Both of which are probably standard for the area but equally annoying. By the outside of the hotel, which was being remodeled, I thought we had picked a hotel in the "getto". It was very difficult to find the entrance and an employee very rudely came out and told us we were in the way and to move while we were trying to get some sort of direction. Once in the parking garage it took us a good while to figure out how to get to our room and I questioned how safe our car was going to be in this paid parking garage. The only saving grace for this place was the fact that the room was nice and the housekeeping staff does their job well. There will not be a next time
