"Great location for a weekend in London!"
Eleven of us stayed at this hotel for a family get-together. The age range of our party was 15-82 and all of us enjoyed our stay. The location is great for getting to many of the main attractions. Taxis were always readily available at the front door. The Concierge desk was extremely accommodating. We noticed that the staff were always there to help, but were unobtrusive, which was pleasant. The bedrooms let the hotel down. My room had twin beds and there was not much extra space. The furniture is tired and outdated. The breakfast was outstanding with a huge variety of foods. All in all, we had a marvelous weekend. Great Job Hilton London Kensington!

"Nice hotel with a great location!"
This hotel is on a corner right near both the Edgeware road and the Paddington subway stations. It's across the street from a great M&S store that has both clothing and groceries. There is also a great pub right on the sidewalk just past the Edgware road station. The hotel is massive and looks as if it may be bring remodeled. The concierge service was quite good in planning and booking tours. There is a very large stretch just to to the left of the hotel that is not the best area, but overall-I would recommend this place and would stay here again. Free Wi fi if you sign up for Hilton Honors which is free.

"The staff was IMPECCABLE. "
Every member of the staff I interacted with was beyond reproach. They went above and beyond. This is a rare customer service find. I can not stress enough how wonderful everyone was. My only negative - my room was on the first floor, in the front of the hotel. Directly about the main bar & dining area, as well as the main entrance. Wednesday night was fine. However, Thursday night, the DJ kept the club music going until about 1AM and I could hear every beat, and most of the voices traveled up to my room, making sleep a bit more difficult.

"Very pleasant."
We arrived in London early in the morning on a week of unusually hot weather, but our room would not be ready until at least 3 pm so we waited in the hotel lobby until we asked if there was another available. Finally there was; it did not have a window as our room would have had if we had waited longer, but we were desperate for a shower because of the heat and the Tube being delayed and stopped for signaling problems. Afterwards, we easily caught the #9 bus to St James Palace in Central London from the street in front of the hotel. We visited all the requisite and famous landmarks and more. We definitely advise getting lost. It's so much more fun finding strange places off the beaten path. And I was able to get people on the Tube to smile and talk with me!!! That isn't easy! Don't forget to visit the area around Hammersmith Station. Also, there is a Tesco Express a short walk down the street from the hotel (take a right out their door and cross the street) where you can pick up water, sandwiches, crisps, fruit, and other groceries for much less than from vendors.

Holiday Inn London Brent Cross

Tilling Road Brent Cross, London - Map
"Great value hotel in north London"
I stayed here for 7 nights during the Olympic Games. Overall it's a good hotel. Small but clean renovated rooms with all you can expect from Holiday Inn. Pros: Value for money and new rooms with flat TV. Cons: Very expensive internet service and room service, location very faraway from the metro (tube), small rooms with no safebox and poor decoration. The hotel it's located in north London so you need to wait for the hotel's shuttle service to get to the nearest tube station (Brent Cross). The shuttle service stops at 11:45 so no late dinners or parties are allowed if you expect to use the tube to get back. To get to downtown London by metro you need more than 30 minutes. You can always use a cab (taxi) but you will be charged $30 pounds for the ride. Other than it's difficult location, this is a perfect hotel for people with no tight schedule (tourists). Avoid this hotel if you are on a business trip. Once again, good hotel FOR TOURISTS.
