"Amazing, the photos do not do it justice, lovely cosy cottage a home from home and fully equipped. Great location, short walk to village incl pubs and chippy, also access to walks (which pass through livestick fields so dogs on leads). Grizedale forest was a short drive away with really good (long ..."

Lakes Hotel and Spa
"The worst hotel & spa I have ever been to, would not even call this place a spa - my gym has better facilities. Spa in a pub (ridiculous as it sounds). People drinking alcohol in the spa (including in the steam room). Pitch black in the spa - accident waiting to happen. Rude staff. Too busy for the ..."

Pine Lake Resort
"Room not what we were expecting as it wasn’t a cabin but a very damp smelling old and worn lodge in a row of other lodges which were all connected together. However after paying an upgrade on our booking we were allocated a large cabin near the lake"

Beech Hill Hotel & Spa
"The hotel is set in a beautiful location with stunning views overlooking Lake Windermere. The staff are lovely, efficient, and professional- we were even allowed to check in early and received a wonderful room upgrade on arrival! A few small improvements would make the experience even better: Cleanliness- ..."

Lakeside Hotel & Spa
"Nice hotel in a lovely setting. Our lakeside view double room was very spacious and comfortable but a little bit dated. With only one window it made the room very dark and the room lighting options weren’t very good. You had to have every light on in order to look in the wardrobe or use the vanity ..."

North Lakes Hotel And Spa
"I liked the hotel and the staff were lovely. The food in the restaurant was particularly good. The reason I gave a poor review rating overall was because the fire alarm went off at 12:50 am and then rang intermittently for 45 minutes because apparently the Staff could not override a fault on the ..."

Macdonald Old England Hotel & Spa
"We arrived for a four night stay and no one offered to help with luggage or really anything. It’s was 32 Celsius and the front desk did not even have fans. They left the curtains open and no air conditioning so the room was an oven and the carpet was filthy. The window would only open one inch. No ..."

Lakeside Hotel & Spa
"Nice hotel in a lovely setting. Our lakeside view double room was very spacious and comfortable but a little bit dated. With only one window it made the room very dark and the room lighting options weren’t very good. You had to have every light on in order to look in the wardrobe or use the vanity table , which made the room far too bright. The bathroom was ok but needed hooks on the back of the door to hang wet towels or Bath robes . Food and drink at the hotel was very expensive and over priced for what it was. The spa facilities and swimming pool were modern and in good order and my daughter was delighted with the Swedish massage that you had. The biggest problem that we had was the poor facilities at the hotel for charging electric cars. I have a hybrid car which needed charging every day but the hotel wanted £25 per day to use their charger. I fully charged my car in a town car park for £6 which is about the going rate for public chargers but was very inconvenient as it meant we had to stay in one place for too long. I would have preferred to charge overnight at the hotel. The hotel needs to install two or three charging points from one of the many companies that now supply them or get the council to install public charging points in the two public car parks at the front of the hotel. The one I used at the car park in Grassmere operated by Fuuse was very good and I would recommend it. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside and the staff were friendly & helpful."
