A lovely Stay

We had a superior room which needs updating as a bit tired - needs coffee machine (who drinks instant from a packet today) Shower not powerful and very poor lighting. However the view of the lake was just lovely to see last thing at night and first thing in the morning.The food was incredible especially the asian restaurant. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Didn't rate the spa but a nice added extra for those who like it. Location is perfect so close to the centre.

We cannot wait to return.

We visited on Sunday 21st September and fell in love with this hotel. We are already planning out next visit. We were greeted by name when we drove up to the gate, so to the 5* service had already begun. There is plenty of parking on site. The entrance and reception area are beautiful. Alicia attended to us straight away and we had been offered an upgrade for my partner Birthday and also some complimentary prosecco. We were upgraded from a Double to a Double or Cosy Double with a Hot Tub. We were so grateful. We were shown to our room 232, which had a HUGE bed and TV. It also had a Hot Tub. (We sat in the hot tub in the morning with the sun beaming down on our faces). Alicia showed us around the hotel and to the restaurants, the breakfast room etc. Her Customer Service was definitely 5*. We decided to eat dinner in the pub before going to the spa for an evening session. The food was very tasty there. The spa was a great size and had plenty of seating.Although the sauna is small, we used it 3x without anybody else coming in. Breakfast offered a large array different foods from cheeses and meats to pastries/ toast and cooked breakfast. We had fruit, cooked breakfast and a blueberry muffin for later and it was all delicious. The hotel is also very beautiful and well kept.

Anniversary 2 night stay

We had a wonderful 2 days celebrating our anniversary here. We were greeted by Lauren who checked us in and offered us a glass of fizz before showing us round the hotel and to our room. The room was perfect with the hot tub on the balcony an extra indulgence. Very clean with Elemis toiletries for us to use. We ate in the cocktail bar/restaurant on our first evening and had the tapas which was delicious. Konrad in the bar was very attentive and made us the perfect cocktails. We ventured into the spa during our visit which was very relaxing - we didn’t have any treatments but did see that they were reasonably priced. All the staff here couldn’t do enough for us and when we asked for advice on where to go for live music, Lesley found places for us and offered us a lift into Bowness in the Bentley with more local information given from Mark who drove us in. We absolutely loved the hotel and our stay and will be back next year to celebrate another years anniversary!!

Mini break at the lakes hotel

Bathroom very small and room was missing the finishing touches. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The spa treatments were great, bit pricey. The spa facilities were disappointing, not a big area and could have had some more loungers. Staff friendly and helpful.

We stayed in one of the rooms next to the Spa on the ground floor it was small and we heard a lot of noise from the rooms above. We got 3/4 star for a 5 star price. We were also charged £12 per day for parking even though we had paid £300 per night bed and breakfast.
