Amazing. Bed was so comfortable and the view from the room was cute! Staff were all lovely checking us in and out, highly recommend this hotel for a stay. A nice hotel in a great location, what more could you ask for

Don’t get there til 3 pm.

Lovely hotel. Just don’t arrive before 3 pm. Room not ready at 2.10 pm (which we had been aware might happen). Cup of coffee while we wait? Unavailable before 3 pm. Drink? Bar not open til 3 pm.

Not really dog friendly

If you would like the smallest room with minimum foot sq, and a very uncomfortable bed when explicitly called in advance to inform this hotel that we were arriving with two dogs don’t hesitate to book this hotel. The bar looks below average, but luckily the radiators will be all on in the corridors making the building really hot in summer’s day and you will be forced to walk to town (Town is very nice actually). Parking is a nightmare as the spaces are very small, you’ll be risking parking your car and getting the tail end clipped. Somewhat clean rooms with torn towels will only get serviced if you explicitly go to reception and inform them each morning before midday.

Booked a double room day before arrival We arrived at 1300 wasn’t able to book in till 1500 but we were able to drop off our bags We booked in just before 1500, the receptionist was lovely, and very helpful Our room was on the 2nd floor, it was very clean and tidy. Tea and coffee available, hairdryer and clean towels in the room. Parking onsite was £6 per night Breakfast £10 per person which we didn’t have Would definitely stay again.

After reading the reviews before travelling we were a bit apprehensive..but upon arrival we were happy to be shown to a nice clean ( if somewhat basic) room..hotel reception was clean and staff friendly..breakfast is buffet style"all u can eat" with full english.cereals.fruit.juice and toast..and the pub attatched to the hotel is a nice sun trap..the £6 a nite car park charge seems a bit of a money maker..but parking anywhere else over nite in windermere costs a lot more..overall for what we paid (£260 for two nites with breeky) we cant complain and would return.

Pleasant Experience

Easy check in - Friendly staff -Superior room was large with view over the lake and came with table and 2 chairs as well as the usual dressing table ,wardrobe etc. Room servicing - cleaning etc was by request only but did not find this a problem Overall a pleasant experience

The staff are very helpful and polite. The room was lovely, with a spacious bathroom. Close to all transport links but also not too far to walk to the lake. Noticed a bike hire shop over by the train station too. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

We were in room 34. It was a spacious room which was clean and comfortable; some creaky floors though. Evening meal and breakfast both good and staff helpful.

Excellent Lakes Stay

We booked a superior room which was excellent and had views of the lake. We were a ljttle apprehensive when booking after reading some reviews but we absolutely did nit need to worry. Excellent hotel and really good value for money. Tip pay the extra £10 per couple for breakfast as is very good for the money. We would definitely stay again. Well done.

Had a lovely stay

Had a lovely stay here, staff were polite, room was clean and bed was comfy. The location was great. We stayed for 3 nights but the room was not cleaned once. It was not a problem for us as we kept it clean but other people might not feel the same.
