"Clean and comfortable"
We loved the Maui Coast and would definitely come back. It's a great place for families if you're NOT looking for a big, flashy resort. Our room was surprisingly big (Junior Suite?) and was clean and modern. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and upbeat. The hotel is right in the middle of Kihei, but is set back from the street so it's quiet. It is a great launching spot for Southern Maui adventures.

"Great location but needs a refresh..."
We enjoyed the location but the room was super small is very dated/furniture needs to be replaced. We suggest seeing Judy at the Maui Lifestyle furniture store.. We stopped in there, and she was super helpful.

"Ok place with great pool and nice beach"
We had to find a temporary place before our other condo opened up. This place worked fine. It's dated, bed felt old, nasty carpet but all in all it works. Pool was great and was a nice location. Nice to have a kitchen and washer and dryer. We had what we needed. It just needs a major update.

"Beautiful View"
Our room had a beautiful view and amazing beach to swim/play in. Condo was very clean and the best stocked of any I've ever stayed in. Just know this is not a hotel but a managed time share resort. There are no staff available between 8am and 9pm. Late check ins have to call a number and unlock a box to key code to room. The power went off one night at 3am. There was an emergency number to call about power outages. No one answered that number. We got power back 12 hours later but no a/c. We called the front desk when we returned to the room and were told someone was on the way. We called back at 9pm that night and no one answered at the front desk or any emergency numbers. Went another night without air. At check out we were told that something was wrong with that buildings a/c unit. We were never asked if we wanted to move buildings or no communication at all from any staff. Overall beautiful place but no housekeeping or helpful staff.

"Most comfortable bed, and right on the beach "
I had a better night's sleep than at home. It was quiet, right by the beach and close to quaint little shops.

"Good Condo Close to the Beach for Families"
The room we had at the Maui Banyan was a Partial Ocean view 2 bedroom, 2 bath with a full kitchen, washer and dryer and air conditioning. The room had everything a family of 5 needs for vacation. This is a simple, not fancy place, but it has everything a family would need to have fun in Maui. It is also walking distance from Kamaole II & III Beach where there is great snorkeling and swimming in the mornings. The beds were comfortable too. Boogie Boards, fins, surf boards can be easily rented at businesses close to the hotel.

"Beautiful Resort"
My husband and I fell in love with this place as soon as we walked to the desk to check in and were greeted by Ke'oni. He was so nice and so helpful and showed us everything we needed to know to find our way around. The room was awesome. We were right across the street from the beach and late at night when the traffic subsided, we could hear the boom of the surf. I was concerned at first that the traffic noise would be loud, but it wasn't in the room and generally was virtually gone by late evening. I loved all the thoughtful touches-the chocolates on the bed left by our housekeeper, the sunscreen and after tan lotions on a table around back, everything you might need to hang out on the beach, the list goes on. The grounds are so beautiful and well kept and it is delightfully quiet. There's a nice patio, a gazebo and a lovely sundeck upstairs to hang out on. The free breakfast was totally awesome. We ate there almost every morning as there was everything to offer that we liked and it was so enjoyable to eat out on the patio or up on the sundeck. It is an adults only facility and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, quiet place to stay. The location is great, too-close enough to town to go do things and centrally located on Maui so you can go in either direction and easily get to Lahaina or the road to Hana, which are opposite directions from each other. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

    Kihei Hotel & Travel Guide

Surf, sunshine, and an old-fashioned good time come together in Kihei. This lovely town on Maui is one of the warmest parts of the Hawaiian chain, and lazing on the beach is a way of life. Gaze out into the Pacific Ocean in hopes of spotting humpback whales, or just snap some pictures of nearby Kao’olawe and Lanai. Life moves a little slower in Kihei: embrace it. Our cheap hotels in Kihei will help you throttle down from full speed ahead to island time.

    Visiting Kihei

Deposit your bags at one of the Kihei hotels and take yourself straight to the beach. Stretch out on a towel and wriggle your toes in the sand, or glide across Maalaea Bay on a kayak. Should the call of the sea be too much for you to resist, rent some snorkeling gear and see what the world beneath the surface looks like. We promise the local ta’ape population has forgotten all about the wardrobe malfunction incident of 2012.

A day of adventure at (or under the) sea will leave you tired, so put your feet up in one of the hotels in Kihei before setting out on another journey. One of our car rentals in Kihei will make it easier to get around the rest of Maui, whether you want to go north to do some shopping in Lahaina or would prefer a trip to the eerie, mist-swathed landscape of Haleakala National Park.

Your time in Kihei may come to a close, but that doesn’t mean the rest of your experience has to end. Travelocity can pair you up with Maui hotel deals all over the island, ensuring you can rollick through the tropics as long as you want without doing permanent harm to your wallet.
